@@lordorion5776 the latter i believe, because the whispers, were information that only the character will now know whether it be leaving us, the critters out of the loop to avoid spoilers and so the other players dont get spoiled either
She was the best villain Matt had ever made. Raishan challenged the party on such a personal level that nobody else across all three campaigns have matched so far. She literally walked into their home base and set up shop there, and for the longest time, _there was nothing Vox Machina could do about it._ They had to tolerate her presence, parley with her and fall prey to her manipulations up until the very end because she completely outclassed them all. The players were effectively disarmed without losing any of their tools, and that is what made her such a memorable antagonist.
Had a moment in a recent game similar to this, party had a surprise right under their nose and the moment we close the night session there was so much buzz and I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. Feels amazing as a DM. Glad they enjoyed it as a player too
One of my favorite Raishan moments is when she meets with Percy in the hallway for a quick chat and he plays his normal cool calm collected noble self to a T.... and then proceeds to have a panic attack against the wall as soon as she leaves 😂🐉
Brimscythe was the youngest of the conclave, being only an Adult Blue Dragon, all the other members were elder dragons. With her added age, experience, and the fact that Raishan is an immensely powerful caster, I'm sure she'll be able to mask her true identity much more completely than Brimscythe did
Vex apparently didn’t sense her because the same reveal happened in the show as well. The poison she put in the drinks that knocked everyone out was pretty terrifying as well.
I feel like they're gonna end off Season 2 with Percy's death/resurrection/letter and then this bombshell right at the end. And it's gonna be hype as fuck!
They're not going to have Percy's death in season 2. If you look at the episode list, the last episode of S2 is titled The Hope Devourer. That's going to be where they kill Umbrasyl.
@@ChillyCucumber They could easily move the Raishan Moment before Percy death in S3, there's no reason as to why this moment couldn't happen at the end of the final episode as the cliffhanger to S2
@@SithLordMalco Why do you want them to rush it? I hope they don't force Percy's death into this season, they would have to skip way too much of the development that made it as impactful as it was.
Imagine if Ashley had rolled a super-high insight check and Matt had to jog to New York and back to whisper in her ear.
Faster than an Amazon delivery driver when a package has next day shipping and the order was placed at 11:55pm.
I'd imagine he'd either have had everyone else leave or texted her what he needed to tell her

Plus, it's really difficult to effectively pull of a "lesser of two evils" villain effectively, and Matt did it flawlessly.
Heaven forbid she keep coming back like Delilah has.
Also, highest PC body count as of now :D
it's people like Raishan that makes me like Campaign 1 over 2 and 3
@@lordorion5776 Same, I love campaign 1 it my favorite
One of the best arcs. It impacted so many of the characters. #TheLarkinPatrol
has larkin been found yet?
Raishan practically held a knife to their throats just to get them to assist in her rebellion against Thordak.

It's amazing trying to set up those moments as a DM. It's extremely frustrating when you've got it setup and a player just announces the twist.
These highlights are awesome, love them.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear the people are enjoying them.
Yeah but where's Larkin though!?!
Sam's reaction to this reveal was wonderful in its subtlety

I’m curious how Raishan will keep her identity a secret in the show where Vex’s dragon sensing ability is a passive feature.

She could probably cast magic aura
I spy with my little eyes, a girl with emerald green eyes and an intense gaze :3
Worth saying that she can block being sensed that way even in the streams, so it works out :)

cant wait to see this in the animated show
it's out now
and it had none of the buildup and none of the payoff

"and that's where we will end tonight's episode" turned into "and that's where we'll end this year's season"
My reaction is the same as Liam, look at that smile, Matt is so happy, the kind of happy that only a DM will know
I can't wait until the new season starts, and the last sentence before the opening is, "I wish to kill the Cinder King."
5:18 is how i feel after episode [REDACTED] of the show
Yeah, I had completely forgotten that that would happen and I was like "DAAAMN"
This has to be one of the nastiest cliffhangers ever done.
This is why I love the green dragons
A wonderful and terrible surprise
Larkin was Assum the whole time?
