Dude, glass knife is awesome. Do the math on it. First time it does 16, second is 12, third is 8 damage, always only costing 1 energy. Until then it is consistently better than an ordinary strike. How often do you shuffle your deck more than three times in a single fight? It also synergizes with envenom since it hits twice.
Honestly, I enjoy this series so damn much even though it is rather hard to watch at times. Seriously, keep playing this game if you can/want to. It's entertaining.

When he first streamed this, on his very first turn of combat he played Defend, Defend, Strike... Chat (being chat) spammed Low T, Slowplay, Babby Plays etc... so now NL is forever embarrassed because the five idiots who spammed that convinced him that no one who plays this game ever blocks damage. He's legitimately embarrassed to do it. You can hear it in his voice, in 33 he actually LAUGHS at his "poor luck" for getting two defends upgraded for free (even though we all know he's never picking up any other defensive cards). His nervous chuckle every time he defends, he's also got to explain every defensive play (as you clearly illustrated) or else he feels ashamed to even do it.
Was really hopeful NL would go for a shiv deck here. Only to be disappointed again that he just sticks to cards he knows/uses often. Staying on that poison stab/ dagger throw train for days...
I played a shiv deck earlier and got the Infinity achievement. Really fun deck type, especially if you throw in a Finisher and a couple of Bursts. It got me my third win ever.
Infinite Blades is not slow. If the fight goes on for 4 turns, you're spending 1 energy for 12 damage, more than an upgraded Strike. The longer the fight goes on, the more valuable it is.

I understand that poison build needs mostly block but rarely is poison the focus of my deck. Shiv build with cycle, or energy build, or hell even porcupine is more effective.
Smaller decks are broken AF in Hearthstone too, when you get to use them - but yeah, it's frustrating when he's happy with a deck, then adds a card without considering the dilution effect.
Big decks are great in a draw and energy synergy. And its fine to add cards if you're keeping the attack:defense ratio equal. but the dream synergy is just spinning top one bouncing flask and a few concentrations.
I've never heard you comment on it, but it is important to remember that adding exhaust cards to your hand is a way of sort of keeping the deck thin while also adding a variety to your deck.
Why does NL not like Dash? It's stupid good. 2 mana for two blocks and like 1.75 attacks is so strong, when more so upgraded and then with Pen nib to boot.
I know that Dash got a buff recently, but, back when it’s upgraded form didn’t do so much damage or gain much armor, I never felt too inclined to play it. This was mostly due to the fact that I could never find the energy to play it, as most of the decks I played with the Silent were combo oriented and didn’t have much room for a 2 energy card. But I’m interested to hear how other people have done with it, is it a better card than I’m giving credit?

I like to call NL misplays, but honestly this run feels like NL is doing pretty well. He is setting up good lethals and has a deck with a bit of synergy

NL you have an Envenom deck, yet you skipped on all the free cards you could have used to enable it (Storm of Steel, I think I saw a Dance of Blades in there too) and you never upgraded Infinite Blades to make it Innate and guarantee you free damage every turn. Somehow you managed to make it work with Cloak and Dagger, but come on man, use your head. Free cards = more poison = more defensive play because of passive damage.

the silent, 2 catalyst+ in deck and couple of poison cards, and you literally can 2 shot anyboss after 4 turns i had 500 something poison on the endboss, it's insanely good

Yet you wont add 1 damage (same as 1 strength) every card played (including non strikes) every TURN, so being roughly equivalent assuming you're still stuck on 3 evergy a turn? Especially when you have 0 energy cost shivs meaning its better than Inflame, And Spot weakness... AND Thousand cuts hits ALL enemies?

Passing on 3 Dash's hurts too, but at least he stumbled his way into a semi-sensible envenom deck, just needs to get rid of things like deadly poison.
His first removal (aside from a curse) will be a defend, and he won't pay for it, he'll get it from an event or never remove a card.
