    Pedals from right to left
    1.sustain
    2. Softens sounds
    3. Reduces space between the hammers and strings in the piano

      The video's digital piano varies a little from your explanation. R to L: 1. Sustain 2. Sostenuto 3. Soft pedal/Una chorda.

      Actually its 1. Gas
      2. Brake
      3. Clutch

    Can you "heel and toe" with piano pedals? Or, double clutch?
    I would really appreciate a response.

      I don't see why not. While most people use pianos to play music, there's nothing to stop you pretending it's a rally car or a big prime mover.

    Thanks 👍 I just bought the Roland RPU 3 for my rRD88 and totally thought there was no reason to have more than a sustain pedal. So now I will try them again❗️and, yes I’m a beginner 😳🎹

    Remember kids, foot off the sustain, press in on the soft, change your chord and add some sustain while slowly lifting the soft. Only ever use the sostenuto and sustain pedal with the right foot and soft with the left.

    I’m confuse. I have a many gram piano on the basement. When I press the middle pedal. While the left keys are hold. The right keys sound like a long reverb affect . Very long one . I don’t know if it’s the vibration of the strings but it sounds so cool. And there is no electronic on this piano. I promise you I wonder if that’s another effect that you didn’t get a chance to explain

    I don't get the sostenuto

    • @MegaMusicOnline
      @MegaMusicOnline  7 років тому +18

      Sostenuto will sustain ONLY the notes playing AT THE TIME you press down on it, and it will sustain those for as long as the pedal is down. Cleverly, it will NOT sustain any notes you play AFTER pressing down. This allows you to play a piece for example where your initial chord needs to ring out, but the melody needs to be sharp and staccato. Hope this helps!
