I agree with you it’s my favorite combo in the game, if s:p didn’t exist I would still run acid. Absolute zero is a staple in my opinion, at least until the evil hero stuff comes out.. then we take him out.
Not a hero player at all, but I love see players who take this time and get the math to validate their choices, also that are so dedicated to strategies! I agree with your statements, why gamble for what ifs, when you know certain lines give you a guaranteed outcome! Keep up the work!
The idea of cutting the water HEROs from the extra to make room seems nice to me, since I was never able to fit things in there. Maybe we even get to fit Trinity again for the corner case FTKs.
We really don't need them anymore sadly, the 2nd wakup/SNW fulfills the role Abz accomplished. I love both of these cards but sometimes you have to really take an analytical approach to see what cards are worth cutting. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Been waiting for this video for what felt like forever lol. Great video! I’ve hopped between playing and cutting liquid soldier, but I’ve definitely been leaning more towards cutting it. Funnily enough I learned that I’ve been doing some stuff wrong in my combos lol (I never thought to search off of Cross Crusader if I didn’t have to search denier off of it, and yet always questioned why I had a leftover malicious, so I missed out on a bit there lol,) so I’ll definitely be improving there. Some of the new combos I will definitely be practicing as well. I really like Kuriboh and actually lost a match at locals because I sided it out (I just needed that little extra bit of burn damage) but it’s actually won me games because people don’t realize it burns. Being able to summon it every turn (given you have an E-HERO fusion in grave) has also come up and is nice. Dystopia seems less necessary to me if you play Kuriboh because Kuriboh just becomes your time burn card in my eyes. Plus if you’re cutting liquid soldier you’re obviously cutting absolute zero, so there’s basically 2 free spaces in the extra deck which is really neat given how tight the extra deck is for HEROes. TL;DR: Very informative video and good food for thought as always (I always end up thinking for hours after watching your videos lol). You’re really convincing me on this whole cutting liquid thing lol. Keep the content up!
I'm glad this was able to help! I think even tho you cut some things it makes other cards more mandatory such as dangerous. Dystopia loses it's place because you link away the sunrise which makes the dystopia live. I'm glad this gives you good food for thought! Great video. The topic really makes thing about what cuts the deck can make since the engine is so big. I find liquid useful for when you stack dark angel to end on dark law and angel. What do you think of this play?
I really like Kuriboh over Liquid, I think people just really like to gamble. I also think a lot of people don't keep Stratos on the field so they're not able to make Wingman since both are light. If we adjust how we play, we can still do the lines like you said. Great video man!

Malicious bane is good but having to play adusted gold, and dark calling in the main deck that do not do anything going 1st can not be great. Also they require you to already be playing to come up going 2nd and just not worth it at the moment until the new support. Breakers are great, I usually play breakers. Don't pay too much attention to the list in the video, this video is mostly just to talk theory and less about the list itself. Talents is good but drawing in HERO is not the best, raigeki is solid but you need multiples, DRNM is fantastic and I usually choose to main it if you watch my last deck profile. Hope this helps! One poly is too risky since Vyon is a choke point that kills the entire combo. Drawing the other poly is great because you can use the choke point as bait
I have played multiple poly in the past and actually believe if your build is made for it even three can be very good. Unfortunately with the most standard list that is the most competitive bare bones list, poly is just a conditional extender which can potentially cause you to brick. It's def not needed.
@@BlakeHERO yup I've seen the competitive builds I'm a master 1 hero player in md it's my favorite deck and made it there thanks to the hero community. Your spice is no liquid, my spice is two poly lol that choke point and Increase it what keeps the deck from being meta I like to mitigate both as much as possible with numbers like you do. I'm making a comeback to competitive tcg but building hero scares me in tcg because it's a glass canon😭 the new evil hero engine doesn't solve the issues either ☹️
@@EliDSage Yeah MD is a different beast, 2 poly is good and I used to play it a lot, in the tcg I found that it was not very necessary and was too conditional of an extender, sometimes it is great but other times it is not great to draw. I think multiple poly can be good but you need to build your deck around it. The evil HERO stuff actually does solve this issue and am super excited for it. My problem with higher deck lists is not every starter is created equal, AHL and FD are the best cards in the deck and you really want to see them as often as possible. Also soon we are getting mulcharmmy and we will need to have the most ways to beat it. Blazeman is solid but I think you need to build your deck around him with playing multiple poly. I have a list with small nonengine and using engine to break boards that plays blazeman. I do not have a discord, however check the community tab as there is a discord server I am a part of with a lot of good HERO players you can bounce ideas off of. I think blazeman is fine too, I really like him with two poly, only problem with blazeman is grabbing him off of cross does not convert to interruption but it does allow you to play through interruption a lot better.
I always thought about Pot of Prosperity but I felt like everything in extra deck is too precious to just banish. So I never really tried to actually include that in my deck. Also nice video! You kinda convinced me to try this out and to be honest I think this is an improvement esp since you can poly kuriboh with a D hero for DPE and still SS him from GY. I do think Liquid Soldier is nice for occasionally SSing a lvl 4 hero from GY. But ill keep messing around...
Pot is incredibly powerful but you must really know the deck/matchups to really make use of the card, banishing the wrong thing can completely lose you the game but I highly recommend getting used to it and learning the card. You are really putting in the work and really good analysis! As you mentioned, I do think the 1 card vyon combo with liquid soldier is better and the gamba is fun but I am convinced on the merit for not running liquid soldier. Definitely bricked on hands like liquid soldier, increase, malicious, denier, and non-engine.

Is the app you are using just for deck building or you can actually test the deck vs bots or something? I really want something like that so i can test and learn the hero deck. Unfortunately in master duel i have already built a deck and can’t afford to build a new one so I’m trying to find a solution!
This app is duelingbook, you can't play against bots as far as I know. You can practice solo tho. Maybe look into MD3pro I think it's called, it's like master duel and YGOpro put together. I don't play YGO online just deck build on this app. I hope this helps!
Hey ! Love your videos as always ! ❤️ I would like to ask you something, I have been playing heroes for a while now but I still struggle going second with this deck. I can barely win going second duels... That's why I wanted to ask if you could make a video about going second with heroes please ? Telling us about your gameplay, how you bait, using replays of your duels to show it etc... I think it would be interesting and it would help a lot of players who would like to seriously get into the competitive side of yugioh !
Droplet, TTT, maybe Super Poly. Dark Ruler is good too. Then hope for the best that you draw a good hand. If not, scoop and go next game. HEROs struggle like any other Going-First-Deck with going second with doing anything. Thats just YuGiOh, not really a problem with the deck itself.
Like most decks going 2nd you are pretty reliant on nonengine, unfortunately we cannot play as much nonengine so it is important to side correctly and to build your deck correctly to maximize the chances of breaking boards. That is why I mostly play breakers. One tip for HERO going 1st or 2nd playing into interruption is to hold your normal summon for vyon. Hope this helps! I may make a video on this in the future but a lot of things I mention in my next video should transfer over for going 2nd as well.
@@Luna-Starfrost HERO does have a few more tools luckily like FD and big monsters that can wipe fields that can blow games wide open in comparison to other going 1st decks though. You are right, nonengine is super important but some weaker fields you can easily power through with engine if you sequence properly.
theoretically liquid can be returned after SUDA and Evil Heroes package... if our hand looks like: liquid + mali + adusted gold + 2 hand traps / miracle or favorite we can discard AG and if our opp ashed us then we can normal liquid special AG = Bagooska with 3x AG in the main it's a solid option 🤔
I really don't think we have the room to play liquid post SUDA, you still want the list to feel as concise as possible, with limiting the number of bricks even though we are putting in more with the Evil HERO cards. It is nice to be able to summon back with liquid to make bagoo, but we are only playing liquid as a one of anyway so the chances of you opening liquid + AG (I am currently on one) are pretty slim. What is your opinion on running 3 "book of eclipse" in a hero deck to tackle any nibiru fear as well as at least 2 "Mask Change" isn't "Dark Law" that powerful against most of the meta decks that run tons of graveyard effects?

I agree with everything you said. With Evil heroes, I don’t miss liquid at all. Without them, I only miss him for Absolute Zero. However you are right. We have better options available.
I tried kuriboh at regionals this past weekend and played it once but I played liquid every game and helped way more the normal summon and the draw 2 and free stratos was way better . I only used kuriboh once didn't feel it. Went 5/3 but deck did good
I wouldn’t play both, you generally have to make a choice between grabbing liquid or kuriboh off of cross. If you eliminate the fact that you even have the option to grab liquid and learn to play without it the results were pretty surprising to me whenever I first tried this out a few months ago. It’s all about optimization to me and taking the deck as far as it can go and streamlining it. But I appreciate you watching and commenting regardless!
Kuriboh is a interesting card but in my own experience I think liquid has a lot more going for it. I definitely think it will be a preference for people if they wanna do the liquid or the kuriboh for sure. But when the new Evil hero stuff comes out I’m not gonna play either lol
Liquid has some things going for it for sure but if you are trying to convert your engine into interruptions (if you boil down yugioh that is what it is all about), you really need to be sure you are doing so. Liquid is gambling on that front while liquid is guaranteed. I think a lot of people are not going to play either post SUDA, this is mostly for pre SUDA. Thank you for watching and commenting!
A lot of these lines can be changed up a bit to allow to go for plasma still, I personally don’t go for plasma turn 1 unless I know it is 100% safe or I don’t have a choice because it gets super hard punished by nibiru. Thank you for watching/commenting though!
Great reasoning on Liquid and Prosperity - HOWEVER, Prosperity is limited my guy. You can probably add in E-Call to increase engine to brick ratio. Hero still has lots of cards you don't wanna open. You can push to 45 easy. I'd add in an E-Call and another hand-trap

@@brianlauria No problem! I have tested a LOT of different variations as this is the only deck I play, I have reached the conclusion that this 43 max count is the best mathematically at the moment.
For sure! But what does this accomplish? It does not accomplish much honestly, I believe I go into that in this video. There is one situation where I think normal summoning liquid is great but it is so rare and requires your opp to interact in a super weird way.
You will definitely play some of the Evil HERO cards in omni HERO! As to how many that is still being worked out and probably won't be the majority of the support. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and watching my content!

It comes up sometimes but if you train yourself to know you don’t have it, many of the situations where normal summoning him does not come up honestly if you played differently knowing you don’t have him
Ok then you give up the plasma dark law set up with the normal summon of liquid I guess, but I understand your point of consistency, I'll keep playing him beacause I think is normal summon is so clutch and the ability to pair him with denier to draw dark angel or plasma is underrated too (also even better now since we have 3 mali)
Also ab zero link away, or cost with droplet or even kuriboh now is so clutch and having a target to draw again with miracle + another attribute is cool even if acid is not as playable as before I think It all comes up about how we play
And also finally, I agree with kuriboh not being a brick, hyper consistent even if you draw miracle or favorite contact, but if you get interrupted you won't be able to resolve it, in the other hand liquid still has the option of normal summon itself to gain bodies and follow up for next turn. I just think I'll play both because both work well together, pitching kuriboh with liquid is super cool

His normal summon effect is not needed and that play is cute but you can also just grab the dark angel with cross instead. 2nd comment: abz is great but think of the conditions you have to set him up, you have to have been able to get to liquid and poly without getting stopped. If you were to get this far then the other options such as sunrise into wake up or SNW will also be available to you. 3rd: This argument is the same for liquid tho? If you were to be stopped you were not resolving either liquid nor wklv6 as this is a pointless argument. If you got stopped there is no next turn sadly, they will either deal lethal or setup a board that just normal summoning liquid will not break. The problem with playing both is a good bit of the time you grab either liquid or wklv6 off of cross crusader. You generally have to pick, and my argument is that kuriboh is way more reliable in converting to interruption than liquid is. Thank you for taking the time to comment! Liquid is easy to use and it can special from graveyard on top of a draw 2 limited is understandable but liquid combos well in a hero deck kuriboh is a good combo piece but liquid is stronger in my opinion interesting video tho

I never played dystopia for time purposes, I played him because it allows you to convert the Fusion Destiny in hand if you already drew combo into an additional interruption. By playing kuriboh you have to link away sunrise meaning the dystopia is not live anymore. Thank you for asking the question though!
@BlakeHERO For sure! I had always played it for time and nothing else, so seeing it have a decent line with Favorite Contact was a cool way to convert it for me. I think this new line makes a lot more sense, but I do still fear time getting called a bit. @@silentg5727 I think it's less about the deck and more about just comboing extremely quickly as well as asking your opponent politely to make a play if they are taking too long. This way you don't need to play any cards you do not want to and you finish the match quickly. It just takes time and is a very underrated skill!
@@silentg5727 I'm still very undecided wether to cut Dystopia or not, I won 2 games in the last local by just summoning him instead of DPE and dealing 1100, its like a mini Lacrima, and let's be honest Time is a win condition you gotta have a plan. @@axelprojump in a vacuum I can see that, without understanding the context. Liquid is only pot of greed once you’ve started playing and I go into the math of drawing what you want to see (nonengine) in this video. He is also monster reborn, but only on normal summon meaning you had to not start with Stratos or vyon or summon these to extend if your first play gets stopped. These effects aren’t that great honestly in the context of HERO, and I def recommend watching the full video to understand completely that it’s not only not a bad choice but in my opinion optimal considering the list.
cutting a level 4 water hero for a dead hand in hand is dumb to me ok liquid is a garnet at least you can set it summon it and use it as link fodder what you do with a level 6 monster in your hand? math ain't mathing
I think in the hands in which it comes up that you need to normal summon him comes up so little that you really don’t need it, kuriboh being accessible and being guranteed interruption is the reason I played him instead. You don’t need a water you can just grab another copy of Stratos as well. I did plenty of math to back up my argument in the video! On that same note, you remove the anti nib line at that point. If they nib on poly, you lose out unless you have another hero

@@BlakeHERO yup I've seen the competitive builds I'm a master 1 hero player in md it's my favorite deck and made it there thanks to the hero community. Your spice is no liquid, my spice is two poly lol that choke point and Increase it what keeps the deck from being meta I like to mitigate both as much as possible with numbers like you do. I'm making a comeback to competitive tcg but building hero scares me in tcg because it's a glass canon😭 the new evil hero engine doesn't solve the issues either ☹️
@@EliDSage Yeah MD is a different beast, 2 poly is good and I used to play it a lot, in the tcg I found that it was not very necessary and was too conditional of an extender, sometimes it is great but other times it is not great to draw. I think multiple poly can be good but you need to build your deck around it. The evil HERO stuff actually does solve this issue and am super excited for it. Vyon is still the choke point but having more ways to play without your normal summon is going to be a huge boost. Thank you for watching and commenting!

My problem with higher deck lists is not every starter is created equal, AHL and FD are the best cards in the deck and you really want to see them as often as possible. Also soon we are getting mulcharmmy and we will need to have the most ways to beat it.
Blazeman is solid but I think you need to build your deck around him with playing multiple poly. I have a list with small nonengine and using engine to break boards that plays blazeman.
I do not have a discord, however check the community tab as there is a discord server I am a part of with a lot of good HERO players you can bounce ideas off of. I am a TCG helper there and jump in when people have questions.

I don't own a WK LV6 but I am contemplating replacing liquid for main decking Blazeman. He's currently in my side deck.
I think blazeman is fine too, I really like him with two poly, only problem with blazeman is grabbing him off of cross does not convert to interruption but it does allow you to play through interruption a lot better.
I always thought about Pot of Prosperity but I felt like everything in extra deck is too precious to just banish. So I never really tried to actually include that in my deck.
Also nice video! You kinda convinced me to try this out and to be honest I think this is an improvement esp since you can poly kuriboh with a D hero for DPE and still SS him from GY. I do think Liquid Soldier is nice for occasionally SSing a lvl 4 hero from GY. But ill keep messing around...
Pot is incredibly powerful but you must really know the deck/matchups to really make use of the card, banishing the wrong thing can completely lose you the game but I highly recommend getting used to it and learning the card.

You are really putting in the work and really good analysis! As you mentioned, I do think the 1 card vyon combo with liquid soldier is better and the gamba is fun but I am convinced on the merit for not running liquid soldier. Definitely bricked on hands like liquid soldier, increase, malicious, denier, and non-engine.

Is the app you are using just for deck building or you can actually test the deck vs bots or something? I really want something like that so i can test and learn the hero deck. Unfortunately in master duel i have already built a deck and can’t afford to build a new one so I’m trying to find a solution!
This app is duelingbook, you can't play against bots as far as I know. You can practice solo tho. Maybe look into MD3pro I think it's called, it's like master duel and YGOpro put together. I don't play YGO online just deck build on this app. I hope this helps!

I think it would be interesting and it would help a lot of players who would like to seriously get into the competitive side of yugioh !
Droplet, TTT, maybe Super Poly. Dark Ruler is good too. Then hope for the best that you draw a good hand. If not, scoop and go next game. HEROs struggle like any other Going-First-Deck with going second with doing anything. Thats just YuGiOh, not really a problem with the deck itself.
Like most decks going 2nd you are pretty reliant on nonengine, unfortunately we cannot play as much nonengine so it is important to side correctly and to build your deck correctly to maximize the chances of breaking boards. That is why I mostly play breakers. One tip for HERO going 1st or 2nd playing into interruption is to hold your normal summon for vyon. Hope this helps! I may make a video on this in the future but a lot of things I mention in my next video should transfer over for going 2nd as well.
@@Luna-Starfrost HERO does have a few more tools luckily like FD and big monsters that can wipe fields that can blow games wide open in comparison to other going 1st decks though. You are right, nonengine is super important but some weaker fields you can easily power through with engine if you sequence properly.
theoretically liquid can be returned after SUDA and Evil Heroes package...
if our hand looks like: liquid + mali + adusted gold + 2 hand traps / miracle or favorite
we can discard AG and if our opp ashed us then we can normal liquid special AG = Bagooska
with 3x AG in the main it's a solid option 🤔
I really don't think we have the room to play liquid post SUDA, you still want the list to feel as concise as possible, with limiting the number of bricks even though we are putting in more with the Evil HERO cards. It is nice to be able to summon back with liquid to make bagoo, but we are only playing liquid as a one of anyway so the chances of you opening liquid + AG (I am currently on one) are pretty slim. It is neat if you chose to play liquid post SUDA though. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching and commenting
What is your opinion on running 3 "book of eclipse" in a hero deck to tackle any nibiru fear as well as at least 2 "Mask Change" isn't "Dark Law" that powerful against most of the meta decks that run tons of graveyard effects?

I agree with everything you said. With Evil heroes, I don’t miss liquid at all. Without them, I only miss him for Absolute Zero. However you are right. We have better options available.

I tried kuriboh at regionals this past weekend and played it once but I played liquid every game and helped way more the normal summon and the draw 2 and free stratos was way better . I only used kuriboh once didn't feel it. Went 5/3 but deck did good
I wouldn’t play both, you generally have to make a choice between grabbing liquid or kuriboh off of cross. If you eliminate the fact that you even have the option to grab liquid and learn to play without it the results were pretty surprising to me whenever I first tried this out a few months ago. It’s all about optimization to me and taking the deck as far as it can go and streamlining it. But I appreciate you watching and commenting regardless!
Kuriboh is a interesting card but in my own experience I think liquid has a lot more going for it. I definitely think it will be a preference for people if they wanna do the liquid or the kuriboh for sure. But when the new Evil hero stuff comes out I’m not gonna play either lol
Liquid has some things going for it for sure but if you are trying to convert your engine into interruptions (if you boil down yugioh that is what it is all about), you really need to be sure you are doing so. Liquid is gambling on that front while liquid is guaranteed. I think a lot of people are not going to play either post SUDA, this is mostly for pre SUDA. Thank you for watching and commenting!
The reason I RUN Liquid is to search PLASMA with it if I don't need the extra malicious
A lot of these lines can be changed up a bit to allow to go for plasma still, I personally don’t go for plasma turn 1 unless I know it is 100% safe or I don’t have a choice because it gets super hard punished by nibiru. Thank you for watching/commenting though!
Great reasoning on Liquid and Prosperity - HOWEVER, Prosperity is limited my guy. You can probably add in E-Call to increase engine to brick ratio. Hero still has lots of cards you don't wanna open. You can push to 45 easy. I'd add in an E-Call and another hand-trap

@@brianlauria No problem! I have tested a LOT of different variations as this is the only deck I play, I have reached the conclusion that this 43 max count is the best mathematically at the moment.

For sure! But what does this accomplish? It does not accomplish much honestly, I believe I go into that in this video. There is one situation where I think normal summoning liquid is great but it is so rare and requires your opp to interact in a super weird way.

It comes up sometimes but if you train yourself to know you don’t have it, many of the situations where normal summoning him does not come up honestly if you played differently knowing you don’t have him
Ok then you give up the plasma dark law set up with the normal summon of liquid I guess, but I understand your point of consistency, I'll keep playing him beacause I think is normal summon is so clutch and the ability to pair him with denier to draw dark angel or plasma is underrated too (also even better now since we have 3 mali)
Also ab zero link away, or cost with droplet or even kuriboh now is so clutch and having a target to draw again with miracle + another attribute is cool even if acid is not as playable as before I think It all comes up about how we play
And also finally, I agree with kuriboh not being a brick, hyper consistent even if you draw miracle or favorite contact, but if you get interrupted you won't be able to resolve it, in the other hand liquid still has the option of normal summon itself to gain bodies and follow up for next turn.
I just think I'll play both because both work well together, pitching kuriboh with liquid is super cool
@@ptitlouille6460 1st comment: yes but going for plasma turn 1 leaves you super susceptible to nibiru. His normal summon effect is not needed and that play is cute but you can also just grab the dark angel with cross instead.
2nd comment: abz is great but think of the conditions you have to set him up, you have to have been able to get to liquid and poly without getting stopped. If you were to get this far then the other options such as sunrise into wake up or SNW will also be available to you.
3rd: This argument is the same for liquid tho? If you were to be stopped you were not resolving either liquid nor wklv6 as this is a pointless argument. If you got stopped there is no next turn sadly, they will either deal lethal or setup a board that just normal summoning liquid will not break. The problem with playing both is a good bit of the time you grab either liquid or wklv6 off of cross crusader. You generally have to pick, and my argument is that kuriboh is way more reliable in converting to interruption than liquid is.

Liquid is easy to use and it can special from graveyard on top of a draw 2 limited is understandable but liquid combos well in a hero deck kuriboh is a good combo piece but liquid is stronger in my opinion interesting video tho

My problem with liquid is the fact that going 1st drawing into interruption is not super likely, his normal summon effect does not come up much and going if you were to be in the position to trigger liquid you could also probably just use Stratos instead and play less bricks in the deck. I never played dystopia for time purposes, I played him because it allows you to convert the Fusion Destiny in hand if you already drew combo into an additional interruption. By playing kuriboh you have to link away sunrise meaning the dystopia is not live anymore. Thank you for asking the question though!
@BlakeHERO For sure! I had always played it for time and nothing else, so seeing it have a decent line with Favorite Contact was a cool way to convert it for me. I think this new line makes a lot more sense, but I do still fear time getting called a bit. Do you have any suggestions on either what or how to play when it's becoming a time situation with this deck?
@@silentg5727 I think it's less about the deck and more about just comboing extremely quickly as well as asking your opponent politely to make a play if they are taking too long. This way you don't need to play any cards you do not want to and you finish the match quickly. It just takes time and is a very underrated skill!

@@axelprojump in a vacuum I can see that, without understanding the context. Liquid is only pot of greed once you’ve started playing and I go into the math of drawing what you want to see (nonengine) in this video. He is also monster reborn, but only on normal summon meaning you had to not start with Stratos or vyon or summon these to extend if your first play gets stopped. These effects aren’t that great honestly in the context of HERO, and I def recommend watching the full video to understand completely that it’s not only not a bad choice but in my opinion optimal considering the list.
cutting a level 4 water hero for a dead hand in hand is dumb to me ok liquid is a garnet at least you can set it summon it and use it as link fodder what you do with a level 6 monster in your hand? math ain't mathing
I think in the hands in which it comes up that you need to normal summon him comes up so little that you really don’t need it, kuriboh being accessible and being guranteed interruption is the reason I played him instead. You don’t need a water you can just grab another copy of Stratos as well. I did plenty of math to back up my argument in the video! @@justinwilson9362 I tried a matchup tier list with tips on how to beat most decks that did not do too well so I will not look into doing that again.
