    I have the same model. I swapped out the factory foot boards for quad addiction steel boards. Makes servicing a little easier . Saves me about an hour . I really like the machine but removing the plastics is a pain.

    For the gear box, did you just fill it below the fill hole as you did the diffs?

    The rear diff is supposed to be around 1” lower than fill hole. I’ve seen guys blow seals constantly after overfilling them.

    • @Maxsmotoshop
      @Maxsmotoshop  10 місяців тому +3

      Well, myself, and the manufacturer disagree having the proper amount of oil will not cause the seal to blow. If the seal fails it will leak just because you are running insufficient amount of oil does not mean your seal has not failed. It just means you no longer have enough fluid in your diff to see the leak.

      @@Maxsmotoshop actually unless Can Am fixed the issue, the service manual says 1" below and it's true many people blow the seals due to not following the correct procedure.

    • @Maxsmotoshop
      @Maxsmotoshop  9 місяців тому +1

      @@noahhansell826 if your diffs are leaking, it is because you are allowing dirt to build and force their way past the seal or you are using a pressure washer to blow that dirt through the seal. The exact words in the owners and service manual state the oil level should be level with the bottom of the threats. If you had any experience working on this machine, you would know it is nearly impossible to measure the oil level on the inside of a differential. The fact that you think myself, Can-Am mechanic reading the service manual from the manufacturer is wrong means you are definitely delusional.

      @@noahhansell826 leaking diff is not a common problem on Can-Am and is most the time user error

      you are right. you fill the front to the full hole, the rear is 1” below. i’ve done it wrong once and grenaded a diff. DO NOT FILL REAR DIFF TO FILL HOLE

    I bought the oil change kit from the dealer and it came with the washer for the transmission plug and a 1 litre bottle of engine oil. I thought that was going in the transmission.

      I believe it’s every 3000 km recommended in the service manual but I would recommend every year if you ride hard and every two years if you only use your machine for late duties and if you’re doing really deep muddying, maybe twice a year
