Where I and the group hunt for shotgun 2 season. Tons of low maintenance roads and I’ve seen big ole Iowa bucks on them. Last year I got a old Iowa buck during gun 2 and did a shoulder mount with him. Beautiful mount. Love hunting the Iowa whitetail deer 🦌
Zack’s spirit animal has to be that eagle! My man spots those bucks holding a camera and creeping through the woods! Quite impressive if I do say so myself! Keep at it and love your channel!
A Drury Outdoors video was advertising when I clicked to play this episode. I like DOD don't get me wrong, but it was over a minute and nobody ain't got time for that when a new THP vid releases. I smashed that *Skid Ad* button.
Often times deer will watch you go past as long as you keep moving. Once I was scouting before gun season and I noticed a buck watching me from about 75 yds away. I avoided eye contact and just kept moving. He watched me until I was some distance past him and he crossed right behind me. He thought he pulled a fast one but I was walking backwards up the trail with my hat turned around. Another thing to try in this situation is leave one hunter crouched down in cover and the other continue walking on past the deer without stopping to look at it. As the walker gets well past the deer make a hard turn behind him. That can force the deer to run back where you just were and to your watcher.
Need to carry the Beast step ladder with u guys Lol! Another great video I thought for sure Logan was gona drop the hammer. Those near misses is what makes hunting exciting and keeps u coming back time and time again.
No tv... the reason these guys rock is the lack of product pushing and the fact that they hunt like real people. Not constantly in box blinds hunting deer that have had every facet of their diet and life managed. Tv and massive sponsorship changes all of that.

I guess i didnt think it through my thought was just these guys really deserve so much more recognition but your right with becoming on TV and everything a lot of big companies would really push these guys an ruin what they are passionate about. They are amazing group of guys... very talented!

Maybe you should carry a climbing stick when rifle hunting. You could have climbed one stick high and would have been able to see over the grass. Whatcha think?

Cool hunt. Me watching on a large screen, I saw that he just bedded back down. I was hoping he would just stand back up when Y'all grunted at him. I think Y'all should try a doe bleat. Those bucks are after does. I've had a few bucks that wouldn't come to my grunt, but they turned on a dime and came right in after I let out a couple of doe bleats after the grunts. It works. They may not want to fight until they think there's a doe involved.

When y’all run into a bedded buck like this can you maybe set up a topo map image with the location of the bedded buck, wind direction, etc.? I’d love to know the setup and conditions of why those bucks chose to bed in that location opposed to in the nearby timber.

Not sure how Zach sees the top of a brown rack, hidden amongst brown grass, at 60 yards, while filming. 99.9% of the hunting world would have walked right past that deer and not had a clue he was even in there. Crazy-good deer vision!
How in the hell did u spot that Zach? Seriously, ur holding out on some good tips at spotting bedded bucks or you’ve got stupid good vision. Cmon bro give it up! ;)
Don’t worry about it. Deer have a core area. They may run out for a few days but they will always come back. Don’t forget that other predators are running them out. Even if you shot & missed he will be back. Try going deeper through the woods & getting to the other side of them. That is their safe place. Good luck guys.
The patience of you two amazed me. I would have gone for a neck shot from zacks camera angle. Don’t know if Logan had that shot or if he would have taken a neck shot but great hunt non the less!
Its the variables that make the difference... If they were not in such high grass... But they were...If they were closer, but they weren't....These kids had an exciting hunt, but they did a lot of things wrong or it could have been better...It is very rare that you can stalk White Tail Deer...Especially mature buck...They may be surprised and not see anything in there again for a while.....

I would have the camera guy loop around to push the deer, and the shooter stay in the same spot. Of course, that would mean no footage though.
