Spot on. I would advise anyone with 1% collection on cards to have a little look to boost to 2% etc. something I should of done a long time ago. As you say that 1% could be huge on scores 60+. Especially on cards you will be keeping for a while or your usual big hitters in the gallery

They need to buff up the D1 prize pools and the amount of winners. Right now d1 feels like a punishment instead of a privilege. My Brighton/wolves stack hung there for 3 game weeks winning nothing before finally getting smacked and relegated this week.

Nice video, only my opinion and my gallery is weak to say the least but my strategy would be for anyone who intends to play in season leagues from the off come August save whatever money you make now and buy cards as soon as they come out, theory is you have more chances to win as there should be less competition initially 🤷‍♂️

I'm playing mostly classic seasons challengers and contenders. I do have a team in In season EPL.
My top two entries in both competitions have been in divisions one and two. With the 3rd team being in division 5.
Being in division one doesn't seem worth it. I'm actually going to reverse my lineups with the strongest teams going in the lower division and putting weaker lineups in the top divisions to move down. The incentive to be at the top is pretty hollow and not really worth it. Hopefully that changes by August.

Yep I agree, thats a big problem right now. The distribution of rewards between the different divisions is off. Ideally division 1 should be the sorare mecca where you want to be. Sadly, if you don't finish top 3, you're usually much better off in the lower divisions. I think i saw someone mention that this seems to be on Sorare's radar, so hopefully it get's fixed before August.

Agree lots of good points there. I don’t think they can bump up cash any more until they are away from the payouts in caps etc

I am really intrigued to see how things look in August. If you look at Limited for example, in GAStar, Cap 220, 240 and 270, there are 6,500 card rewards every weekend across those 4 divisions. Are those prizes really all going to go into the regional tournaments to just increase those prize pools even more? To be honest, I don't see the harm in keeping say Cap 220 and GAStar and changing them so that they only offer card rewards. Or introduce a permanent Cap 220 league to champion, challenger and contender. Give those lower L15 cards some utility, Harry & Fede made great points on their last podcast about a potential huge sell off in August when all these in-season cards turn to classic and everyone has way too many classic cards for the 9 teams per scarcity you can enter.

I have been pretty close across a wide range and this week managed to break in to a decent money win with a 8th in contender in season.

No one comes in and join the higher end tiers right away. Those are populated by the ones who has already bought their cards and Sorare dont get much new revenue that way. Focus should be on limited and on the entry level. Its here the growth potential is the biggest. Than when the player base is healthy expand the prices into the other scarcities and build from the ground up. If the macro economy change their might be more players with high cash reserves ready to enter. Fine than take advantage of that.
I am almost out of Sorare but still want the platform to succeed. I might re enter at some point but at the moment the risk vs reward is not the best.

I disagree. Pranksy is a relatively new player who came and spend a lot to dominate in the top tier divisions. Problem right now is that bar the special weeklies, the in season comps are not that attractive (especially in the higher divs). But we have seen with those special weeklies that people are happy to spend money, which boosted specific card prices and revenue for sorare that far outweighs the respective price money for those weeks.
Sorare will always be somewhat of a niche product, so I don't think boosting their revenue by a big acquisition of new entry limited players is feasible.

@@DonQ94 If Sorare cant attract the masses as they have tried to do through "rivals" etc I dont see them being around in the future. The upkeep on licenses and potential competition will be to big.
One or two whales here and there will not change that fact. It is not sustainable because there needs to be enough buyers in the market. Not the same users selling between themselves.
The only chance they have is that Sorare becomes a household name among fotball fans. With enough users to create a competitive ecosystem that finds the right balance between risk and reward. Starting at the top scarcities will only reward the current users who dont use their own money after the intial investment. It doesnt grow the platform.
Win the masses and the higher scarcities will eventually become lucrative again. Its the only way unless the macro economy recovers so much that new money will want to invest in risky projects like Sorare. Then it might be wise to adjust the price pool to attract these kind of players too.
Now they are few and far between
