1:06:00. You guys got it backwards. Regional forms are *divergent* evolution, and the regional fakes are *convergent* evolution. Also the answer the family you were trying to think of is Meowth. 😁
I'd like for Mega Evolution to be used like the Soaring Mechanic again in ORAS. You're given something like a ride pager from Alola to call upon a set mon from your party to Mega Evolve into the HM/Utility mon you need to progress through a route. Blend the two mechanics back together like it was originally introduced.
What would you think about "action commands" in Pokemon games, meaning optional timed inputs that do something extra? (Specifically for the single-player campaign, or maybe just in Legends games. I imagine there would be riots if they tried to introduce a change that significant in competitive lol) Playing Sea of Stars and anticipating the Paper Mario TTYD remake has got me thinking about how good and engaging turn-based combat can feel when the player has something more to do besides select an action and watch the animation play out. Do you think Pokemon could benefit from something like that? Possible uses: extra damage (but not as much as a critical hit), partially block incoming damage, chance to inflict a status effect, increased exp gains, etc. Maybe certain trainer classes (like Ace Trainers) would be impressed and give you more money after the battle. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
See, I'm anticipating ZA to be a little similar to an old PS2 game called Jak 2 from the Jak and Daxter franchise. Specifically Jak 2 because the adventure mainly focus in one large city with section that you have to earn access two and in the next game you explore the catacombs. It's developed more than well enough that there's plenty to do storywise and free roaming, and they even transport you to areas outside the city walls that still counts as the city which I expect could happen for ZA.
I'm finally replying Legends in spirit of ZA next year. I've actually been enjoying it better than my initial playthrough. I've taken it significantly slower and know more of what to expecting instead of expecting more of what I got. Still not fond of certain mechanics, but my experience has brought the game up to at least a B for me lol
Awesome work as always guys. What are your hopes for how Mega Evolution will be implemented in Legends ZA? Gameplay mechanic, same or different? How to obtain? New Megas? Tangent away! And maybe even the same for the Switch Successor, what are your hopes? I just hope it's called the Super Nintendo Switch.
Ben: Give me a Pokemon World that reflects real life and how Pokemon would actually react to being in cities in such... Also Ben: Don't give me a Pokemon World that reflects real life in giving me species of Pokemon that are similar but not the same creature. lol if they didn't decide to call this Divergent Evolution, it would have been no different than the Purloin example for Meowth I just jokingly used.
QOTP: What's your favorite experience playing through a game? It can be Pokemon to keep it related to the pod or you can venture away to a different franchise.
I just want ZA to be more like the mainline Pokemon series. I have no clue what to expect one open world city several zones idk What if we start outside the city but we can never return there we go to the city because it's under siege by the evil team defeating thugs progresses the story and opens map zones maybe we will find safe areas in the city where there are no thugs and we meet allies that battle with us maybe we have to make the city safe and then defeat all the thugs and the boss in the tower

Meowth has two different regional forms and a Unovian reskin in Purloin lol

Captain Fidget's accent sounds both American and Irish at the same time. Where is he originally from?
Germany
