I just made it work.... I too thought that it's broken (since I've after this for a week, did Google app data clear and uninstalled updates) but tried this microphone > TV On and turned the Bluetooth off as the "OK Google detection "was turning on the remote's mic On. At first it didn't start then I did a restart BOOM started WORKING.
THANK YOU.
Update - somehow it's not working again and I can't get to work either.
