hey guys!!! this is the first video of many included in my trip to South Korea vlogs! i’m super excited for you guys to share this highschool study abroad experience with me :) I’ve never traveled anywhere without my family so I was definitely nervous… I hope that I can give more insight to being a black woman in Korea for those of you wanting to visit! I also really hope you guys enjoyed this vlog, and I’ll be uploading more!

I'm not Black or a woman but I love that you zoom in on your experiences specifically as a Black woman in Korea to be informative to others! I did an exchange semester in Seoul earlier this year and it's an amazing country but the majority of native Koreans are definitely wary of foreigners and it *can* get racist at times. Hope you have the best time there though, I know I did 🦋

I LOVED it so much in Seoul and I’m definitely going back in the future😁🤍😁🤍 I’m SO happy you enjoyed your time there too!! Going for a semester let’s you REALLY immerse! And yes Korea is a homogeneous country so I was definitely preparing myself for micro-aggressions🌚

My whole thing is, book the window seat. Right before you leave on your plane, go to the bathroom. No matter how long the flight, resist the urge to go on the plane. When you sit in the window seat, no one has to crawl over you to use the restroom, and you already went, so you won't have to crawl over anyone else

Hey! I have a question about your flights! Did you manage your way through the airport alone on both flights or was there a leader to guide you? Thank you!
Hi! 😁So I had to fly in to LA alone from my state so that I could join the group flight, which wasn’t bad because it’s only a few hours. And once I got to LAX I met up with the program leaders because they had been texting us details on their locations! And then the entire group got together before boarding the international flight to Korea💕 And flying back was the same thing, still supervised by the program leaders! But that’s if you book the group flight, if not, they can’t guarantee that they’ll be able to help you while flying separately🤍
what airline did you use? and would you recommend it? also, i’m a new sub!
Hi the program I travelled with has a company that books the flights for us, and the airlines were Delta and Korean Air😁 AND TYSM for subbing❤️❤️🤞🏽

I applied for a summer semester study abroad program in south korea. If I get approved, I'll be going next year around the middle of June.

How hot was it? Cuz i’m going in august😅
I’m going to honest, it was EXTREMELYYY humid😭Like everyone had to buy those hand held fans because we were sweating 24/7😭💔BUT when it was later in the day around like 5pm, the humidity went down so we weren’t dying allll the time😁 Also it wasn’t too bad in the mornings either!
