Cookiezi was better than pretty much everybody at pretty much everything at one point. Mrekk isn't at the "literally better than everyone at everything" state but there are quite a few skill sets that he has taken FAR past their logical extremes
@@saturn6458 no, cookiezi was never best at high ar and high bpm streams, more niche stuff like ez and fl, acc, plays, etc. He was mostly a really dominant all-around player who was definitely the best at hard HR maps for a long time while still being able to compete with the top DT players, but he never really dominated the faster DT realm. There were always people a bit faster than him, and especially after the unban there were tons of ridiculously fast players that I don't think he really could compete with. Probably the current closest thing we have to cookiezi is vaxei but cookiezi was always more HR leaning than vaxei is, while vaxei competes better with dt players.

There was a time period where a DT FC on Magic Girl was considered insanely impressive, doesn't make it better than basically any score top players do now lol. This is why amazing players like Mathi and Freddie Benson just stopped trying, they just said f this community I'm out. What impresses me more, personaly, are crazy tech maps, which aren't particularly high star or don't give 1200pp, but are very difficult to learn. You can improve your sotarks' 1-2s, triangle jumps or spaced streams endlessly and that's still not as exciting as seeing let's say DJ MAG or the 8* GHOST plays.
