The Other Guys was legit a hilarious movie. And keep in mind, THESE were supposed to be the main guys before they were replaced by “inferior” replacements.
“Cops still argue to this day on why Danson & Highsmith jumped, maybe it was just pride after having survived so many brushes with death. Or maybe their egos pushed them off, I don’t know because that sh*t was crazy.” -The Narrator
That “Aim for the bushes” line will be studied by film experts for centuries to come. Truly one of the most thought provoking scenes in all of cinema history
Maybe the bushes were in their minds, maybe their cockiness reached a level where they believed they can conjure bushes with their minds. Who tf knows but it's hilarious nonetheless.
I love The Other Guys. There are so many overlooked gems from the early 2010s and this is definitely one of them. God, they just don't make comedy flicks like this anymore.
2010 was one of the last great years for comedy. We had Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Get him to the Greek, Hot Tub Time Machine, The Other Guys, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, etc. I think I'm missing a few.
You could not get away with this scene today. Not for any sort of PC reason. The Rock is simply not going to be a side character who gets killed off early. He’s going to want to be the lead.
Yessir that scene made the whole movie for me, all I could think about for the rest of the movie was "what bushes? they are no bushes in New York City."
What makes this scene EVEN FUNNIER is Ice T narrating afterwards that it was suicide due to on-the-job pressures cementing with "but that shit was crazy" 😂🤣
Bro since I've watched this movie when I was a kid I remember of this scene at least once a year, this is so freaking funny, the fact that Samuel Lee Jackson and The Rock just dies like that is just so random 😂 And I still wonder where the bushes were aha
When the invincible Action Hero who has never lost a fight, or suffered any serious injury suddenly loses his Plot Armor...
If anyone wants the serious drama version of MC plot armor loss it's Place Beyond The Pines.
Don't look up what happens, just watch it.
Nick Fury and Black Adam
Robocop be like:
@@Shockgueyhad it recommended to me three days ago. Actually good, bar cooper's kid, hated that prick.
The rock actually have un his clause that he can never lose

😂
Brilliant rug pull. I love this movie.
Name
One could even say they were replaced by "The Other Guys".
Wait, THEY ACTUALLY DIED???!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
“Cops still argue to this day on why Danson & Highsmith jumped, maybe it was just pride after having survived so many brushes with death. Or maybe their egos pushed them off, I don’t know because that sh*t was crazy.” -The Narrator
"There wasn't even an awning in their direction." - Terry
Im imaging morgan freeman saying this
🤣🤣
It was Rocky's ego and Sam's pride.
And the narrator was Ice T

Man's forgot to disable fall damage
Back to the age old question: what did they mean by "Aim for the bushes"?
It’s become a saying in its own right. Like a Hail Mary
I think there are bushes in the background. You can see a tree. They thought plot armour was still on and overestimated how far they could jump.
@@truespartan1000Bro I don't even think Dom Toretto can make that jump 😂😂
I think the guy who threw a shoe at George W. Bush has the answer
I think it was implied that they were on drugs, I think.
The pavement cracking on impact is what cracked me up the most on first watch.
I see what u did there
"Aim for the bushes"... my brother in christ, that is concrete...
That's how they call pavements in the projects, I guess
That's one way of finding out you're not the main character
The song did say “THERE *GOES* MY HERO!!!”
“Watch them as they fall!”
I love The Other Guys. There are so many overlooked gems from the early 2010s and this is definitely one of them. God, they just don't make comedy flicks like this anymore.
They dont make comedy flicks at all anymore. If its not a blockbuster movie or a known IP then they dont make the movie.
@@roostre5254 Last good one i can remember was Death of Stalin, other than that yeah I can't think of none
The music by the Foo Fighters just makes this scene even better 😂😂😂
There wasn't even an awning in front of em. They jumped 20 stories.
From the thumbnail i know exactly what this is
Aim for the bushes.
Jokes aside, the coolest thing we got from this is The Rock fist-bumping Sam L. Jackson.
“You have the right to remain silent! BUT I WANT TO HEAR YOU SCREAM!!!!”
"Aim for the bushes" lmao. I need to rewatch this movie
0:55 😂😂🤣 What were they aiming for?!😂🤣🤣
The bushes dawg
@@AXL2304 Where did they think the bushes were?
@@Elbombdeloscasa somewhere down there
@@Elbombdeloscasanext to a tree like a couple secs away so they overestimated the jump lol
@@AXL2304
I think they were aiming for the concrete ground 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes 🤘🤘🤘
When you try the superhero landing IRL😂
This will never not be funny. It's iconic.
I still remember when my entire class was quoting this one clip.
The music is what makes this scene so perfect lol
Maybe "the bushes" were the friends we made along the way...
The movie is an underrated gem. 😂

Also the fact that they fucked up the rocks hairline and acted like it’s normal has me dead😂😂
You could not get away with this scene today. Not for any sort of PC reason. The Rock is simply not going to be a side character who gets killed off early. He’s going to want to be the lead.
Same with the Get Smart movie from 2008. The Rock plays the bad guy and actually loses. Two things you wouldn’t see today.
I'm glad someone else remembers this scene too LMAOOOO
WHAT BUSHES !!! BRO !!!
My fav scene goes with "Did someone call 91- *HOLY SHIT* " 🤣
I thought I was the only one! This was the most hilarious scene I've ever seen.
This is genuinely the most unexpected scene. The first time I watched it it didn't clock til they actually hit the floor... like wait.. what?
It lives in all of ours heads wes, we with you man, it's like a national holiday to return to this scene
The craziest part of that movie was the rock's hairline, his barber did him dirty
The music too lol
"There goes my heroes" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love seeing people use this scene in audio for Tik Toks 😂
When Maui from moana meets Jules from pulp fiction:
This is the exact thing i recreated in Spider-Man 2 with fall damage thats how vividly i remember this 😂
The badass music is the best part 😂
Just seen this move like 5 days ago and I was like wtf what they doin...what bushes in New York the concrete Jungle.
I think aim for the bushes is like sarcastic, like they know theres no bushes
I was literally thinking of this scene about 2 weeks ago lol
Well, there goes our heroes... fucking LITERALLY 😭💀
I instantly knew what scene this was despite seeing the movie like twice because it also lives rent free in my head lmao
Aim for the bushes 😂
Even if there were bushes it won't still help you survive that high.
This scene always just pops in my head every so often
When I was doing General Houskeeping during covid. I would throw 'Aim for the bushs' whenever he would ask for me to do extra work.
“AIM for the bushes” is the best quote line of all time
Wow. Three times a year. You got it good. I got about 2 times every 2-3 weeks.
This is now officially my all time favorite UA-cam channel because of this lmao
This scene had me ROLLING when I first saw it! 🤣😂🤣😂
I thought they actually had a plan but they were just idiots. 🤣
The day a rock kissed the pavement
Now that I'm thinking about it... Is this the ONLY movie Sam Jackson and Dwayne Johnson share together?
I think it is
This is my favorite comedy movie of all time I just think it’s the funniest shit I’ve ever seen
I was literally thinking about this 2 days ago
I remember believing they would land it, just because of their confidence.
Glad to see you posting again wes
I swear arguably one of the funniest mf scenes I’ve ever seen in my life. So unexpected I still laugh so hard til this day.
"i'm a peacock, you gonna let me fly"
They must have done this dozens of times to be so confident in the jump 😂 that’s crazy
After this exact scene the movie title clicked in my head, I am like 'ohh so that's why its called THE OTHER GUYS as main guys died.
Lmao I needed this one bro. Thanks!
This was legitimately one of the funniest films!
It's the "there goes my hero" that gets me every time.
This made me cry wheezing 😭 omg I need to watch this movie
Must have been so expensive to get them for just a gag, but the sheer shock upon watching this scene makes it worth it.
I mean, is that good and perfect
Love your content keep up the great work
One of the best comedies made
This scene lives rent free in EVERYONES heads lol.
I wonder if these actors ever get a sudden flashback of this scene whenever they're doing their job
There goes my hero
SPLAT
🤣
This is the movie where DJ had to put that ONE CLAUSE in all his contracts
Magnificent! Magnificent!!!
Yea i remember this once in a while too

Absolutely SAME.

Thank you for introducing this to me 😂
"There wasn't even an awning in their direction."
Showed this to my gf, she said that, and I quote, "Someone removed the bushe"
I swear to god, SAME! This is my favorite comedy movie of all time.
Same! Its peak and the song adds to it lmao
Somebody gotta animate this reaction cause it just too damn epic lol
Yessir that scene made the whole movie for me, all I could think about for the rest of the movie was "what bushes? they are no bushes in New York City."
The rock had no business trying to line up his hair here.
Yep. First time I saw this movie, all I thought was, "What bushes?"
🚬😎
I don't even remember the movie, but I knew the scene as soon as I saw it LOL
Lmaoo it really was the confidence like bro what did ya'll really think was gonna happen 😂

I fucking knew it was this "Aim for the bushes" scene omg ☠️
Bro same. It’s iconic
Bruh, look at "The Rock's" left arm 😂😂
