West African rulers had their underlings gather prisoners of war or go out and capture people from the countryside, and they sold them to Jewish shipping companies who shipped them across the Atlantic ocean. During that trip, the fully Jewish crews did little else but rape men, women, and children. In one documented account from Jamaica, these Jewish men cooked and ate a black boy when they docked. Out of the 9 million captured West Africans, 50% were sold into slavery in the Portuguese colony of Brazil, 45% in the various Spanish colonies, and 5% to the British-American colonies.

My great-great-granddaddy was a famously notorious designated buck-breaker. He used to tell my Granddad stories about how he would break sometimes up to a dozen bucks a day. There was an art to buck-breaking; too soft? and the message didn't come across. Too hard, and the slave was virtually useless on the plantation for a week. He used to pick favourites, some he liked and some he didn't. He died unapologetic, and the guilt still lives on in my family to this day.

They could be bought, sold, and mistreated at will and were unable to own property, enter into a contract, or legally marry. Most of what we know today comes from texts written by masters. It’s not even close. Plus the proof that tribes sold other tribes is very sketchy at best. Very well put together. This also explains why African-American men and women behave differently and I think sufficient reparations and therapy is appropriate for them. For example, the holocaust the survivors received payments, etc..
