I just completed my UG, including geology as one of the subjects. Now I'm looking for a pg in the field of geological engineering, can you suggest me with something in the field... How important is the math's in this? I'm not good at it.
What do i need to prepare myself for?
And how is the future in this?

So sorry for the late reply!
Congratulations on completing your undergraduate degree including geology! Based on your interest in pursuing postgraduate geological engineering, here are a few suggestions:
Strong math skills are definitely important for modeling and analysis in this field. Work on improving areas like calculus, physics, statistics - this will help you grasp advanced concepts.
Learn programming languages like Python and MATLAB which are used for computational analysis and modeling.
Research schools with programs specializing in geological engineering or geotechnical engineering. Look for hands-on lab work and research opportunities.
The field is growing as we understand earth systems better and infrastructure/construction projects become more complex. Experience with engineering design and project management will be advantageous.
Connect with professional organizations like the Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists for guidance, mentorship and insights into the industry.
Consider internships or volunteering with environmental firms to gain valuable experience and strengthen your profile as an applicant.
Let me know if you need any other tips! I'm happy to offer guidance as you look into this exciting field. Wishing you the very best in your postgraduate journey ahead.
