its sooooo weird not hearing, "There was a house in a field on the side of a cliff and the waves crashing below were just said to be a myth" during the intro!
you have no idea how excited i was on that night when i heard they were playing a remix of common dreads:') this and carol of the bells are the best introductions to any live set i've ever seen
Interviewed Rory and Chris a while back for Warwick Student Radio and imo Rory seriously has to go down as one of the finest guitarists of his generation!
Just when I thought they couldn't get better they FUCKING improved their vocals, stage presence and crowd bond. Days ago I would've thought that as impossible.
i was there and it was fucking amazing, loweing the end of the libertines definitely payed off, this was just too good. I love how the play the entire common dreads opening as well
I was there! About 10 people back from teh front and im gonna be there this year too! Shame theyre not still in teh NME tent, teh atmosphere is much better in there
It's awesome how they took this intro and used it as the opening to A Flash Flood of Colour. Honestly, the only thing I would do to that album is to take the outro of this performance and put it somewhere in the album too.
this was the best performance i've ever seen, other than maybe their hatfield show. it wont be the same at reading this time on the main stage but i can't wait:D
@Tobensdude It is amazing live isnt it! Im loving the beat over the intro too. I love how Shikari adapt and change their songs. Just that little tweek and it makes it even better.
This band has evolved so much over the years, I thought they were amazing now but they keep getting better and better, the new album is going to be fucking mental.
system wasn't written 2 years before AFFOC the intro is just the same as the outro of common dreads or intro of solidarity (i seriously cant remember which it is )
You must play a headline show at Newcastle sometime please! I'm already seeing you guys with 30stm in november and i saw you guys at evolution and last october at the o2 academy!
@humblelaurie There will be a third album, spoke to Rou about it, although not sure what it's gonna be like. All I know is Destabalise won't be on it (sorta like WCBIS) and it's slated for like mid-2011. Hopefully it's a mixture of TTTS and Common Dreads instead of exactly like one or the other.
i was gonna say rory c was a beast... but then i realised so is batty c... and rou... and of course rob is a beast and a half. they're all just legendary, and when i met them, they were all really safe
@JoeeShep96 Zeitgeist + The Venus Project + Enter Shikari + a bunch of assorted books/movies (Ishmael, The Story of B, strangely enough Capitalism: A Love Story, etc.) have made more of an impact on my life than probably everything else I've experienced combined.
If you listen to the start and finish of all three albums, they all lead into eachother. They were written like that so you can listen to them in order and it flows really well.
it's the intro for common dreads- you can find a recorded version of this by searching "ENTER SHIKARI AUDIO VISUAL INTRO" on youtube- there you'll find a pretty dank vid with the cool strings :)
@lucyandnyuuatonce I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you mean, but I wasn't trying to say my beliefs were the exact same as those of Enter Shikari (as a whole). Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was simply saying that Enter Shikari (and all of those things I listed for that matter) helped me to start thinking beyond the social norm and beyond what is accepted by the general public in most cases.
4 days from 2023 and these guys are still awesome
There is just NOTHING that can compare to the awesomeness that is Enter Shikari.

beginning of solidarity possibly the best live moment iv ever experienced
AND STILL WE WILL BE HERE STANDING LIKE STATUES
Reading 2010 was one of their best shows
@Carus92 Too true. I was there and the shape of the tent amplified the bass. Was immense. Great atmosphere and was mental.
Interviewed Rory and Chris a while back for Warwick Student Radio and imo Rory seriously has to go down as one of the finest guitarists of his generation!
Just when I thought they couldn't get better they FUCKING improved their vocals, stage presence and crowd bond. Days ago I would've thought that as impossible.
solidarity is truly one of the greatest songs i've ever heard
it is amazing how much better Rous vocals have gotten. Its just gonna keep getting better and better from here
Saw them in 2010, best band I've ever seen live to this day!
Dude that string intro pretty much blew my mind and I want in and all over my body!
This was one of the best performances I've ever been to...
There is no words to describe their stage presence.
i was there and it was fucking amazing, loweing the end of the libertines definitely payed off, this was just too good. I love how the play the entire common dreads opening as well
God......when the crowd yelled "Standing like statues!", it made my hair stand on end. It was so good being in that crowd :D
The best thing I have ever, ever, ever seen live. Amazing
watching this start to end is sooo epic
I don't know nothing more awesome !
fucking love that new common dreads intro and solidarity outro :) you guys never cease to amaze me
i got goosebumps. no joke. soo good
I'm going this year! can't wait!! ahhh!
the coolest live performance ever!
Looking forward to seeing this live next month
I love the guitarist. I swear he plays one note and then rolls about on the floor to celebrate.
BLOODY BRILLIANT
WHAT A BEGINNINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOWWWWWWWWW
I was there! About 10 people back from teh front and im gonna be there this year too! Shame theyre not still in teh NME tent, teh atmosphere is much better in there
Best live version of Solidarity EVER! period!
Looking forward to seeing them for a fourth time soon!
They come to AMsterdaaaaaaaaaaam! Awsomeeeee!
It's awesome how they took this intro and used it as the opening to A Flash Flood of Colour. Honestly, the only thing I would do to that album is to take the outro of this performance and put it somewhere in the album too.

2 more albums and theyll be headlining in no time.
so epic! loved it!
Loving the outro
that intro sends shivers down my spine
class a boys
i actually love the way this starts...makes my hairs stand on end
This band has evolved so much over the years, I thought they were amazing now but they keep getting better and better, the new album is going to be fucking mental.
@bun182 whenever ppl think that.....it means the band is growing, and maturing, while the fan are stayin in the past. the new ES is amazing.
Dublin soon pleeeeaaaaaasssseeeeeee
I remember the outro to this melting my Rib cage, huge bass.
2021 again!
This is madness...
IT IS MADNESS!
Anyone else got Rou's voice stuck in their head during the intro saying "When I was little, I dressed up as an astronaut..."
It's technically still their intro, they always open with System...Meltdown!
I expected Destabilise as well, when they played it in the October 2011 tour :P
they could easily release that version of common dreads as a single and use the background thing for a music video:)
i would buy it
@SneakyTarsier Couldn't agree more. His scream was perfection at Leeds.
Fucking immense. wish i could go back and relive it so bad x
Rou drops some sick stuff with that synth.
Intro is fawesome!
EPIC. Just epic...
@OMGRawrItsBrad its actually a remix of the intro from the album
EPIC!!!!!!!!!
@LPfr3ak96 haha! holy shit, i was there and it did not register at all! system AND destabilise, what a treat!!!
system wasn't written 2 years before AFFOC the intro is just the same as the outro of common dreads or intro of solidarity (i seriously cant remember which it is )
Goddamn. Shikari are magical.
You must play a headline show at Newcastle sometime please! I'm already seeing you guys with 30stm in november and i saw you guys at evolution and last october at the o2 academy!

amazing intro!! :O
i was gonna say rory c was a beast... but then i realised so is batty c... and rou... and of course rob is a beast and a half. they're all just legendary, and when i met them, they were all really safe
woooooah the new common dreads intro thingy is actually so fucking cool!
They had system made then :O but used common dreads lyrics. AWESOME!
WORLD CLASS
lovin the dubsteppy common dreads remix
gooooooseeeeebumbsssssssssssssssss
@JoeeShep96 Zeitgeist + The Venus Project + Enter Shikari + a bunch of assorted books/movies (Ishmael, The Story of B, strangely enough Capitalism: A Love Story, etc.) have made more of an impact on my life than probably everything else I've experienced combined.
is it my mistake or the string arrangement for "system..." is in the beginning of the song while AFFOC came out only two years after this show?
Yeah AFFOC wasn't out yet, but they were obviously working on it back then
If you listen to the start and finish of all three albums, they all lead into eachother. They were written like that so you can listen to them in order and it flows really well.
Dylan Tippet Horry schit
Search Enter Shikari Visual Audio Intro- to get the proper version :D

anyone know where the intro´s from?
very good performance and definitly one of the best bands ever!!
@italianstalion33 i live in the US and they are my favorite band :D
@humblelaurie Yeah Jed pretty much sums up what I meant, I didn't mean that it'd be soon, but a new album is inevitable and it will be amazing.
@GrannyhoDaGoi
he didn't do the scream after 'and now the floodgates will open" though
"this is the intro to system" yeah but it wasn't the intro to system back then. It was the intro to their set and used it for system after
"This is so epic! I watch this atleast once a day! "Here tonight I clock a thousand heads! Here to unite through, COMMON DREADS."
Reading 2011 :D
System wasn't out back in 2010 was it?
Thats bad ass.
Thumbs Up for the outro
Everyone saying they expected Meltdown to play obviously hasn't been an Enter Shikari fan for awhile.
GOOSE BUMPS
Will you be releasing the dubstep remixes in another album?
Don't stop doing what you're doing.
I completely fucking lost it when the intro to solidarity dropped.
@italianstalion33 you realise this concerts in Pennsylvania right?
THAT IS THE INTRO TO SYSTEM!
2:17 Yes...
@stevegglsg ummm Reading Festival is in Reading UK broski :/
I get goose bumps with this
@iMattLewis my first thought when i played the new album lol
weird how system was written like 2 years before AFFOC but awesome i prefer this version
@OrlyWaitYeah Couldn't agree more!
well, there were about 3000 shouting it at plymouth pavilions.
damn...
too right mate
Hi, system
I wish that was the actual common dreads was on the album.
@LPfr3ak96 No. System... used the strings from this :P
