How To Increase Maximum Upload File Size in All-In-One WP Migration Plugin
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- Let’s take a walkthrough on how to increase the Maximum upload file size on the All-in-one WP Migration plugin from 512MB to 10GB or more by changing some values on the plugin’s file.
This is particularly useful for those having a backup file over the allowed limit on the plugin and the steps mentioned within the video primarily work with the older versions of All In One WP Migration plugins.

My friend, this has been the most comprehensive, adequate tutorial in a long while. Thanks for helping out your followers!!
Thank you for the kind words man... Its Much appreciated
File Plugin Editor is now located under "Tools" on the left handside rather than the plugin tab. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for the update Logan.
@@victorchinedu Hey thank you for the vid! This is a great way to get around having to pay for the plugin! Appreciate you!
Its my pleasure.
Thank you!!
Thank you!
Can you do an updated video please! They took the max file size out where you cant change it?! I only see Max Chunk Size and I almost changed those number but glad I didn't!
Download the version mentioned in the video

Thanks, Man... I appreciate the kind words.
Iam new to Wordpress. IT WORKED GREAT. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! TIP: After downloading Version 6.7 you have to compress it into a Zip file and than you can just add it as a new Plug in.
Music to my ears, am glad that worked out for you.
thank you for mentioned the plugin version only in 6.7 this trick will work. thank you.
It worked, thank you. Those who cannot find the max file size text should install the 6.7 version of the plugin. I skipped this step while moving fast 😅
not working. It says unlimited plug in needes to be activated 😢
doesn't work for me anymore, i cannot find "max file size" in the constant.php anymore
did u find any fix
?
@@paulprince5786 no i guess i used another backup plugin

* Removed the AI1WM_MAX_FILE_SIZE constant. This constant is no longer necessary
For some reason, I am uploading multiple images but it only takes one at a time. I can't find a fix
Nice content. This worked until 1 month ago. i dd it den. but now512 MB further decreased to 128. 6.7 version not taking file upload now. showing 0.00 import status. Can you help please ?
Ive just finished the whole Wordpress migration thing using the All-In-One WP Migration Plugin. This video was the key to sorting it out for me. Thank you Victor you saved day with this tutorial.
I used the 6.7 version spoken about in the video to export my files and import on the other end. (Wordpress 6.3)
Thank you for sharing this. I had an import file that was 3.6G. Worked for AIO WP Migration plugin version 5.56. I agree with other commenters - I really appreciate your comprehensive, no-frills format.
Thank you so much! You saved my day. In May 2024, the plugin allowed uploads of up to 2GB, but I needed to upload a 3.5GB file. Following the plugin's instructions to edit the .htaccess file or the wp-config.php file didn't work for me. Your solution worked perfectly!
I'm glad to hear that you've got that resolved and thank you so much for the well-thought-out comment, it's much appreciated.
i dont like to leave a comment but I must on this, tnx very much man, easy and safe😊
That's really good to know. I appreciate the thoughtfulness & you're welcome.
Thanks and this is great - Once we upload the back up then the rest of processes starts -Do we need to update the plugins to the latest versions by that time as i got some errors ,,but your discovery is working
Thank you for sharing the very useful information. After the larger plugin is loaded it shows that a newer version is available. Now that I have used the plugin to upload the large file; is it ok to update the plugin or leave it as it is?
I'd recommend you update it. Just to prevent any security breach.
@@victorchinedu Thank you. I was initially hesitant as I did not want my upload to be lost.
I can't fin the Plugin file editor button
WordPress moved this feature under the "Tools tab"
How to have the plugin file Editor?
i don't usually comment, but i can't help but show my appreciation thankyou very much, i got 100GB
I'm glad you got value from the video. Thank You for the comment, it's much appreciated.
Thanks a lot, it even worked taking the backup with the latest version and the import with version 6.7 :-)
I just tried to do this a moment ago. In the constants.php file, there is no word Max file size. Why can't I do this alone?
Did you install the recommended version mentioned within the video?
Hi, can I ask you, if I can't see the plugin editor, do I need to download it or is it a mistake on my side that I need to fix in my Wordpress? Thank you very much for your help and for sharing this very simple yet helpful tutorial :)
You can either check the tools section to see if it's there. WordPress moved that around a bit in their recent updates.
If you cant find it anywhere, I'd recommend installing one of WordPress Default themes - These tend to bring the "Plugin File Editor' in most cases.
Hey man, I have 2 question:
1: Restoring process is stuck at 54% what should I do?
2. Does updating the plugin can cause an issue with it?
Thank you man! Since I have the latest version I can't find the max file size, I did download the old version and it's fine now. 👍
This is one of the best most comprehensive and simple easy to follow tutorial. Thank you.
This is music to my ears. That's how I like to keep my videos, & of course, you're welcome
Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.

I have now tried this download four times and kept clicking it to restart the attempted changes each time the error message appeared but it does not make it work.

bro, youre a genius, I had so much issues in getting wp migration to work because of the size and other complications, also my website has a lot on it... but its finally worked!!! thank you
Truly Glad to hear that & you're much welcome
Hello from Ukraine :) I downloaded plugin version 6.7 from your description and it's working. Great! Thank you smart guy :)!
Plugin file editor isnt showing up. is there an alternative way?
If you know how to navigate your way across a site's File Manager, you should be able to find the constants.php file within the Plugin's Folder within wp-content.
@victorchinedu i've tried twice and with two different files but it always stucks to 70,15%. any suggestions? thank you for the video it's amazing!
Much appreciated. Nasty plugin changes. Now they are selling a separate tool with a new version which lets u set the limit. Sensational freakin marketing.
Fantastic 😍. I can't believe my eye. I was already planning to buy their unlimited plan. Thanks so boss
Thanks for sharing your tutorial. I followed your instructions and I'm pleased to report that everything is working as expected. Thank you!

Thanks, Victor, but it doesn’t work with the newest version of All-In-One WP Migration, as the variable doesn’t exist anymore. It seems to be Max Chunk Size, but changing values there is not successful. Any new ideas for the newest version of the plugin?
I left a link in the decription to download the particular one i used to make this video, it's actually a rollback version 6.7
this does not work for me. There is no "Max File Size" in the file.
Please use the plugin version recommended within the video.
O my! You deserve a medal. Thank you Victor!

This the kind of tutorials that are really helpful. Thank you
You are very much welcome.
There is no such thing as "Plugin file editor" in WP - where to get it?
You can try using a File editor plugin like:
WPIDE - File Manager & Code Editor.
This should help enable the File Editor Feature. Just follow the path outlined within the video.
File Editor -> Plugins -> All in one WP Migration -> Constants.php (this should open up the file editor).
Then follow the steps outlined within the video
Bro it used to work before, now it's just loading and giving me an error while trying to update file after changing the values
Same thing here it doesn't work again.
Are you guys using a local host?
If you are. Then you need to make the edits happen in the folder section within your desktop computer. Localhost typically do not allow making core file edits unless its done by the administrator (From the Folders on your computer)
@@victorchinedu no I'm using a Wordpress website... And I just tried it now and it is showing error... It does work before but it doesn't work any work anymore.

Can anyone tell where I can find the root file path of a website created in Local ? I am trying to move my website to Local using WP Migrate and you have to change the site name which is easy because it is on the main page for Local but the root file path is not shown - so where can I find it in the Local environment ?
I can't find the Max File definition at constants.php. Anyone have facing this problem?

Bro, this tutorial just saved me $70. Thank you!

hai i cant import the file using this , also tried the backup retrive method , please help
You could try exporting the file from the source website again, perhaps the export wasn't complete or the file got corrupt.
Can't find the "Plugin file editor" Option !
You should be able to find it under tools...
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You saved my day 😁 after 4hours of trial and error 🤯 finally everything worked perfectily with your plugin-version!

There is no plugin file editor option.
Hey first of all: thanks for sharing. First video of yours that I stumbled over.
Seems to be great content and since I'm not native engish I can tell that or me you're clear talking and easy to understand, that's pretty nice 🙏
But I do have a problem. I'm using all-in-one v6.7. I changed the values and got the visual change under the importer saying that 10gb are max file size.
I tried uploading 1GB-file, that I exported earlier. After a while it stopped the process of importing with an error 'unable to import' and 'maximum file size 512mb'.
Followed step by step. Reinstalled plugin and tried it again. Still same result.
Any idea what I could've done wrong?
Stupi me. Just did it over again. Deactivated the plugin (!!!) - changed the values via plugin file editor. Saved and reactivated all-in-one plugin..tada there u go it works.
So my problem was trying to make changes to plugin-files while the plugin was activated.
@@jamesleihe5689 hehehe... We all make mistakes, but am glad you were able to figure it out by yourself. Thanks for the kind words, that means a lot.
