As a Leroy player since Tekken 7 I agree, his midscreen combos are linear and you often do the same routes, but in the corner you have awesomes damages and mix-ups. He was way funnier in T7. He’s still fun although.
His poking game is interesting, stance mix and pressure is great since T7, and pressure overall is good. I think Leroy need some buffs regarding comboes routes, like with Azucena when they add some new combo stuff. I'm near GoD with him and I'm pretty much ok with him right now regarding balancing. He's solid
I think Leroy has at the same time boring and fun comboes. In the open is boring, at the wall it is fun

The fact that they locked his hellsweep behind a stance is bullshit.
He got nerfed pretty hard in tekken 8.
