They had great heat until they posted social media posts showing themselves looking very not their characters, Lana particularly looking very not her character. That killed their heat in my opinion. If you don't have a total commitment to being in character at least to some level outside of the ring, you will never be fully over. Fans have to believe that the person in the ring and out of it are somewhat one in the same, or they won't believe in your character.
Lana dropping her accent kinda knocked her hotness and coming out on that show was another terrible idea because now we know how truly annoying she is. If she hadn’t, people would still see her as that strong, sexy Russian woman who was getting over more than Rusiv. Now, my ears bleed when she picks up the mic 😖

Kofi and Lana I actually believed (never really looked it up to confirm otherwise). So I was genuinely shocked when they were dropped. Lana probably should have kept it though, it gave something to separate herself from the other women.

Having Mr. Fuji cut the promos for Yokozuna was a great move. Fuji, who was of Japanese and Hawaiian descent, did great promos, and all the big man had to do stand there and look menacing.
Some of these "accents" are a stretch but had to get to 10 somehow.

Razor Ramon always freaked me out as a kid. He just looks like someone you wouldn't want to meet.... anywhere lol. Even just as Scott hall. Don't know why he gives such bad vibes but he does. N I've heard the stories about him not being a friendly drunk n such which just kinda confirms it lol. Great videos as always! And dude that played as santino at meet and greets back in the day didn't use the accent either haha. My sister in law met him when he was still in wwe and yeah he spoke reg English and told fans it was just for story and explained where he was actually from.
