    I bought my first wok after seeing this commercial years ago, and met him at the NC State Fair one year. I lost that wok years ago and got a cheaper one from walmart to replace it. Never really bonded with it though. I recently bought a Mammafong wok, and as soon as I got it seasoned, it became an extension of me. I have truly bonded with this wok.

    I remember this infomercial from the late 1980's. Always fascinated by it. Then, in late August 1988, I was at the annual NYS Fair held at Syracuse, NY on NYS business. The hall I was in was the Exhibition Hall where many State Agencies and private vendors peddle their services and wares. Mr. Nash was there giving live demonstrations and on an off hour I went to his booth to watch him. The live demo was better than the infomercial cause he could interact with his audience. I was so impressed, I bought a wok set. Still have it. Mr. Nash was a great showman and an entertaining host!

    😂 I've made spaghetti sauce so many times in my wok.. and so many other things normal people probably wouldn't as a truck driver. I like it because I can use it as multiple ways to cook

    Oh my, I had one of these. The funny thing is that I think of it every now and again and go, "what happened to that thing?"

    That last part about adding peanut oil to coat the surface. You need to if not the surface will turn a bit rusty and usually when that happens you will need to scrub it and somehow when you stir fry the first dish the food sticks to it. I tried not using and that happened.

    For an electric burner oven, do you use round or flat bottom walk?

    • @wizard3z868
      @wizard3z868 3 роки тому

      with a lot of practice you can use a round one on electric but for the past few yrs i have been using an imusa flat wok(my other half paid like $20 for it at wallmart turned out to be as good as this wok same rules apply though have to keep it seasoned and if you dont keep it oiled it rusts in minutes lol
