Streamlining this model to the soles you see now means a fast, money-saving, simple design for the highest volume re-issue this model has seen so far (despite investing in new tooling from the last decade). Filling in the sole gaps that are just EVA foam and changing all the dimensions means longer life at the cost of a more rigid shoe and a noticeably inaccurate appearance. Using Nubuck, or in this case, PVC-coated Nubuck increases skating durability and saves the company from using expensive materials such as leather. But this ain't nothin' new with cheaply reissued highly profitable nostalgia these days. Skate them, beat them, they'll be fine. And yes, go half size up if skating. Casual wear, whole size up.
@@999thenewman not sure why the EVA foam went all the way through the sole partitions in the first place besides possible weight reduction. As far as the original; I never had them never seen them in person but the CCS catalog does describe as a synthetic upper
Those are cool. Instead of white I’d go with black laces
@@Riz2336 the stock laces are navy, I stick with those.
The black grey colour looks amazing, they look very similar to the 298 they released but more puffy
@@Jblizzybaby I skated both the navy/white 298 and the navy scheme today. Vastly different shoes with different feel
Not even close to the two nine 8!!!
The éS skeme kinda looks like their version of the Osiris D3
The scheme came out first my guy...
