As a kid we had a driver drove our routemaster bus like the guy on your track. One sharp bend he took so fast the bus lent so far over I was sure it was going to crash. You don't really want to be on the top deck at a time like that!
N scale cars are very light and if there is only one magnet too far forward of the front axle, it tends to lift the rear wheels off the road hence the fishtailing. Another magnet at the rear to match a track magnet would have stopped this or alternatively placing the front magnet back behind the fron axle. OR just using a slider which we are moving away from.
My exact thoughts Rhys after watching the ghost train video. The incline up would not be a problem. As long as the coaster is free wheeling, you would just have to drop the chain down a centimetre or so on a downward slope and it would disengage the magnets the let the coaster roll down to a flat section where you would have the Magnorail chain re-engage the magnets on the coaster. Sounds simple but I will let you try it out. Happy to discuss further.
That's a lot more exciting to watch than Formula One is nowadays.
Noice job mate, cheers Graham
I think the bus was catching up to the wiggling green car ! 😀

A lot of fun but it shows the speed that the system can cope with

What caused the green car to fishtail?

Can you make a rollercoaster out of the magnorail?
