So dk in the vocal unit is one of the best vocalists in the kpop industry hands down he’s such an emotional powerful voice he does music theatre and Seungkwan voice is softer but fulll of emotion and expression and they just sing both beautifully. The vocal unit voices are all so different but they compliment amazing together. I honestly can not choose a fav unit song from this album it constantly changes depending the album but the performance unit is hitting hard atm but I still wouldn’t say it is my fav yet! Every comeback the unit songs get you hard and you never know which gonna be fav last 2 comebacks have been hip hop unit but FML album performance and Hiphop were my fav but your choice was vocal. They performed these unit songs at their concert this weekend and each performance was amazing! Highly recommend watching. Also no the unit songs tend to not always have music videos but there are a few but the last comeback did have a mv for each unit after like 7 years
I haven't watched the whole video yet, so I'm not sure if you realised but there are 13 members in seventeen. And no member has left the group since debut. That is one of their main selling points, 10 years in the industry and they share an unbreakable bond. The company Pledis wanted to debut 17 members hence the name "seventeen" but they were unable to. They had already promoted with the name "seventeen" so they went through with debuting 13 members and the meaning was changed. Now it's 17 = 13 members + 3 sub-units + 1 fandom/team. Also, it is mandatory for Korean men (atleast those who have the citizenship) to serve for about 18 months in the military. So let me tell you some things about that. 95 liners : S. Coups was exempted by the government because of an ACL injury and surgery (it's a very serious injury, one that can end athlete's careers) Jeonghan, the second oldest enlisted on 26th of September, 2024. Joshua, the third oldest has american citizenship so he won't be serving. 96 liners : Jun, he's chinese so he doesn't need to serve. Hoshi, Wonwoo and Woozi will most likely enlist next year. 97 liners : Mingyu, Dk will enlist in 2026 probably. The8 is chinese so he doesn't have to enlist. 98 liners : Vernon, he has korean citizenship so he will serve. Seungkwan, too will serve. They both will enlist around 2027. 99 liner : Dino, the youngest member will enlist around 2028, although we're hoping he goes with the 98 liners. So by 2030, all the 13 members will be re-united. But Seventeen isn't going on a hiatus like other boy groups do during their military era. Because seventeen has enough members, and many unreleased songs, they won't be running out of content any soon. Bumzu, one of the main producers along with Woozi, who has been working with Seventeen since their debut (and he's also the unofficial 14th member of svt as a joke) is still there. I am definitely a hip hop unit girlie. And I lowkey like Water the most, too. But I've heard Love, Money, Fame a lot today, so that one might have edged water out. Seeing both live over the weekend didn't help either. The live performance of both songs was so amazing. Going back to the last album, I liked Lalali better than Maestro as well. The album before that, Monster was great, but God of Music took it. And before that, we had the double title tracks with Super and FML. I would rate that one Super>Fire>FML. But surprisingly, the performance unit song I Don't Understand But I Love U might top Fire. That was a great song.

So no he was not singing or part of the choreo. I was surprised though that he was in the MV. I was also surprised seeing him in the previous comeback related vids. S.Coups is exempted because he injured himself badly and he failed the army's medical tests. Hoshi, Wonwoo will be going soon to the army. So Jeonghan did not leave the group forever just for 18 months. BTS members 5 of them are still in the army and will come out June 2025. Two of BTS members finished serving and are out and making new music. Going into the army is a tricky thing when ur group is doing well and growing. Ouch.
@@shalayaB yes but the guys need the break. They go hard and don't really have breaks. BTS i think had 2-3 breaks in all of the 10/11 yrs they were active. The 18 month rest (military) was them being regular ppl in the army. It was their job until the 18 months are passed. By the way men going into Navy, civil service, etc. have to serve 2 yrs. So that is our Suga of BTS.
@@shalayaB from what I've seen most idols have a pretty good time in the military, away from all the press (there's ofc some cases where it's not good for them, but they're few, Hongseok from Pentagon comes to mind, he had to be discharged bc of his mental health (anxiety mainly) getting worse). Many idols join the military band after their basic training is complete so they still get to be around music, especially if they're talented instrumentalists (most kband members end up there) others have specific skills that can be utilised in the army, for example EXO's Kyungsoo has a chef licence so he served as a military cook, and A.C.E's Byeongkwan and Day6's Young K are fluent in English so they served in KATUSA (a unit that iirc is involved with the US so they need good English speakers). There are also idols that have health problems that prevent them from doing hard physical activities so they do more civilian related or desktop duties, like Monsta X's Shownu who has a detached retina iirc and did community work (mainly with kids).
