I was a pharmacist starting in the early 90s. By the time the late 90s came around I was alarmed by the sharp increase in 5 year olds getting powerful medication. This medication was to help them focus and to help them with homework.
I just couldn’t believe that 5 year olds had to focus on more than how to share and play and color in a civilized manner.
I think society is starting to feel the effects of this now.

"Dennis Knuckleyard" has to be the goofiest name for a main character . Its like Alan Moore is trying to irritate the reader by having them say that name in their head for who knows how many times.

I've been very curious about Long London, Jerusalem has been a seemingly permanent resident of my TBR lol, I might try to fix that this year. I've started it and then not finished it a couple times

Intriguing that you got a copy of Body Friend. This is Katherine Brabon's third book, but the first I've heard of her, it was shortlisted for the Stella Prize this year, and is doing well in Australia I think because of that. It's certainly been visible in book shops here.
And thanks for the return of some mail hauls, shockingly I'm not really one for June on the Range, or Dune or the other events preoccupying you this month (not meant as a criticism, just those events aren't for me).

Moore has been disassociating himself with anything he wrote for DC or its imprints for years now. Modern reprints of his work for them will not name him/call him "The Creator". It's a grudge against the company, not necessarily with the work itself (though I think he's at least somewhat disowned The Killing Joke because of content). I can't remember if he does the same thing with Marvel comics.
