I am taking the Essential Yoga Anatomy course and recommend it highly! I have been teaching for 13 years and wish I'd had this knowledge much sooner! I am incorporating the learning into my classes and strongly believe it is adding value for my students. I also appreciate this Yoga Teacher's Companion episode and how generous Jason is with free information. He has been my primary teacher for ten years and I am much the better for it!
you are such a great teacher ! very clear and concise with great repetition of each point you're making and a wonderful visual sum up at the end. Thanks !
Thank you so much Jason. Appreciate your teaching skills; SLOW & deliberate speech, visual media supports, repetition of strong points and your incredible way to put this challenging topic into understandable words. I am going to explore your Essentials program. Anatomy is my weak spot as a teacher and I've tried many avenues to build my knowledge. Your approach seems so different, I may actually be able to grasp this topic after all. Thank you for the free info you offer as well as your programs available. Much gratitude. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks so much for the info. I love hearing that I have been explaining these concepts to my students correctly AND also learning more nuggets to share. Yer the best!! 😊😊😊
How come this is so easy to understand. Thank you🙏 While I remember my yoga teacher training I didn't get any of this information and anatomy sounded like a different language😅
I love your teaching since 2012:) I used to teach spine anatomy this way, explaining on one hand there is only 5 degrees of lumbar rotation, and therefore approaching rotation from thoracic and cervical regions. Although it is partially true , when you look at more fundamental and functional rotation of the spine like during simple walk, these 5 degrees of lumbar rotation are crucial. After some years of “frozen” lower back, I’ve started to incorporate drills that improve this lumbar rotation (mainly from tai chi and feldankrais method) and I feel as if it was a missing link for me..

Single best explanation of the bony structure of the spine that I’ve ever heard. Thank you Jason.

You're welcome!
Brilliant and very helpful. Many thanks
I'm so appreciative of how you make anatomy so easy to understand. Bit by bit, bone by bone, breath by breath.🦴
