This is awesome, great video. I have a question, not sure if you know the answer, but would appreciate your help if you do. My question is regarding prong settings for stones that cannot be casted in place. How do you go about a prong setting while having the stone in place to create the setting and if it goes over the stone, how would I remove it? Is there a way to do it without damaging the prongs? Would popping it out suffice and not damage the wax?

Can torch and kiln tolerant cubic zirconia stones handle the heat in the lost wax casting process please?I’m currently a student jeweller learning how to use wax who lost out on my studio time due to COVID closures. I’m unsure 😐

Yes CZ stones will survive the process. I have seen some inclusions or explosions happen within the CZ so it is a risky process. Mostly red, white and blue stones are the best, ruby, sapphire and diamonds can handle the most heat.
