Cus’s gym would be the only reason I would visit NY. Great philosophy.

First of all, huge thanks for your vids!! I am learning a ton lot for my second run of demonly training for a fight!!
Second; great how you elaborate the psychology/philosophy too!! Talking about willpower, this vid aligns with the podcast about willpower of Andrew Huberman with David Goggins, if i remember well; willpower can be drained and only be used for so long, so the change to make it Not drain yourself is Wanting it (and make it fun/your own). So yes, i think too we gotta identify Slowely with crazy excersizing to make it easy :)

This was seriously one of your best videos. I know boxing skill/technique is important but this is that 80% stuff! Thanks for all your work, and keep it going. Btw “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon hill talks about how to do some of the things you mentioned. I highly recommend that book.

Thank you very much for this video.
I have been working towards a few goals the past 3 years however, I've never truly leveled up since. I get motivational boost, perform like crazy for a few weeks and then waste my time on TY for another few weeks.
I want to change so I've been looking for solutions the past few days.
Thank you very much again for this video. I'll apply it tomorrow morning (it's midnight rn) and hopefully I can get out of this cycle of productivity and lazyness.
    Bless you ❤

How do I get this good image of myself though.
If your someone who struggles with self esteem and sees yourself as nothing how do you get this image up. You said to find good mentors and build good habits in relation to our goal, but is that it? It’s not as simple as just putting on muscle and then your confident, because we’ve all seen muscle guys get smacked the most, and let's be real it's rare to find a good mentor nowadays. You know how do I change that subconscious part of my mind about myself? What did Mike do?, what did cuz do to Mike to help him, I heard Mike had low self esteem as a kid aswell and thought of himself as a loser. What about the story’s of hypnotising, how do we do that. What if I do what I'm supposed to (train and everything) and still don't achieve success like I want. Loving the videos bro keep this up don't stop

I think you should build new habits, use those habits to achieve meaningful wins and use those wins to fuel your self image. Does that answer your question?

    • @rcec8

Auto suggestion is something I learned from a book called “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. It’s and older book but highly recommend it. Autosuggestion is what we call Affirmations today. Look into affirmations and make them a habit. That is a great way to change your self image. It may seem stupid at first but after 90 days you can look back and start to notice little changes about yourself, And then Keep Going!

Thank you for the material and videos. I have a question. I have a meet coming up in few days, and I wanna build up my mentality, is there anything i can possibly do in this short time?

    • @peekabooboxingacademy
      @peekabooboxingacademy  2 місяці тому +1

@@sophie2870 You’re welcome. The best answer I can give you is to just start now. Start doing that schedule or routine that the person who you’d want to become would do. You won’t shift your identity in a few days, but you can start the process today. On top of that, practice visualization. Visualize the exact outcome you want for 20 minutes a day. Visualize the sensations, the smells, noises, the feeling, etc. This will all prime your brain for success at a high level. Videos to come on that subject.
But like I said, just cultivate a sense of urgency and start! Write down a list of all of the things that could benefit your life once you start this process. Then make a list of all of the ways you could hurt your life if you don’t start this process. All of that is a great start that will yield immense results in time.

@@peekabooboxingacademy thank you! I wanted to say that I have the discipline developed and I have the work ethic. I've already build a pretty strong will but sometimes I just find myself doubting. Especially as I failed a lift a week before (because of stress and lack of sleep due to some other thigns). And I have the competetive drive, it's just that i wanna adapt the mentality similar to Cus D'amato but I have these thoughts that make me question myself and my ability. Sorry for being so broad about this but I dont really have anyone else I can ask for advice on mentality and self image (which on my side is not the best).I thought of maybe doing self hypnosis as Mike did.

@@sophie2870 The doubt in your own abilities comes from the way you see yourself. Read the book Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz, it goes very deep on the subject and fleshes out how to change your self-image. Good luck 💪🏼
