I was there for the display, I left before it departed and caught it twice on the move. The weather worked with us that day, beautiful turnout as well.
I was there as well. I couldn’t stay to watch it depart but I still had a good time. I also had a conversation with the train master while I was there. Apparently all of the train other than the locomotive was his. He would also say that 2816’s lubrication system was completely new, and that it was a fairly changed locomotive in comparison to 2012.
