Context: Newfound Adventure is the first patch of Endwalker BUT it is the beginning of a whole new saga. The previous saga, which was going on since 2010 with the original FF14, ended in Endwalker at launch. So basically, this is the best time to start playing, because you can go through an entire arc already concluded and land right on the beginning of a new one. And good news: the developers are implementing a Solo system where you can play through the Main Scenario Quests with NPCs instead of queueing with players, for those who just wanna enjoy the story. They will make it fully accessible for the previous expansions by the end of this one. Edit: not being biased, but the Crystal Saga (2010-2021) is one of the best stories I've ever experienced in any form of media. Endwalker worked like an Avengers: Endgame for these eleven years of worldbuilding.
Why react when you aren’t on the current patch it makes no sense, you won’t pick up all the hints, spoil your self for one of the best story ever told.
