Zach said it. They discussed having his brother take over care of Sterling and a brother was an agreement but Cheyanne refused! I don't get why she refused? She didn't want Sterling why not let someone else have him? Hell she could have just sent him outside by the road so someone could find him.
I get the depression thing. Trust me, I have days where I don't wanna get out of bed. But I have two little lives that depend on me. If I don't get up, they don't have anyone else. They won't be fed, walked, loved or taken care of.. Not to sound cliche, or bragging, but after I get up, have my coffee, wake up completely im actually proud of myself for doing it. It may seem miniscule to some, but to the one's who struggle with depression, you know how much of a fight it is just to get out of bed. My dogs give me the motivation, and I can't fathom why this mothers OWN baby couldn't motivate her..Where's the love? I'm utterly amazed that she just placed him in a swing, pointed it at the wall, closed the door and ignored him. It also baffles my mind that the boyfriend participated in it! U kno I could maybe understand if she left him in the swing a little longer to nap, or take a shower, but for DAYS?? WEEKS?? Oh my heart is shattered thinking about his pain.. I remember when my husband wanted me to try to let my baby cry it out at night.... I couldnt take it. I went outside and bawled like I have never bawled before. I caved and went and got him. I NEVER did that again. my baby wanted ME. it is in your blood. how could she.
I had my daughter murdered by an incompetent, stand-in so called Dr. In 88. Was not going to comment but was compelled to since there were 88 comments. After that Dr.was done w/my baby it took her 3 days to die....I later found out that he was responsible for 4 other infant deaths. He was not my Dr., my Dr. was out of town. I still long for my baby and miss her. I don't know how she could ignore Sterling's crying...how anyone could. Breaks my heart

The shrink that the defense brought up was very lazy and it slipped through she told HIM she didn't want to deal with Sterling. The one who hadn't worked in 20 years and didn't even look at the text or facebook conversations but expected to set this Monster free by his proclamations that this all happened because she was depressed. Fortunately some truth slipped through and it couldn't be denied since it came from their own witness.

When someone is on trial for such a disgusting and vile act they should not be allowed to sit in court and desplay that behavior. The part of this whole case that haunts me more than anything else...when Zach testified the last time he saw Sterling alive, Sterling lifted his little hands to his daddy, begging to be comforted, picked up, loved...he probably didn't have the strength to cry anymore. This was his last effort to call attention to his suffering and sadness. Zach merely puts his fingers in the babies fists for a few seconds, juggles them around and maybe says a word or two to baby Sterling, and then walks out and shuts the door. I believe that sweet baby gave up right then. His poor body and spirit could endure no more. I am sobbing even playing this through in my head and it is infuriating that his parents were there and did nothing!!!! One of the worst cases I have ever heard. Cheyenne especially deserves every day, month and year that she gets in prison.

I think the swing was packed with random clothes because she was using that to prop up his bottle. She probably just stuck a bottle in his mouth once or twice a day to stop his crying but never picked him up. Eventually that poor baby got so dehydrated he couldn't even cry, so she just pretended he didn't exist until the smell got so bad, she finally went in there to find him dead. GUILTY!!

I feel for this poor baby Sterling. I have a 4 month old grandson I am very much in his life every day. I cannot even imagine letting him sit in a swing all day long every day. She left Sterling to die as an act of defiance as if to say "ha look what I've done' and as for that weak dim, selfish father, he had no interaction with the baby on purpose to 'get back at her' for being unfaithful, tormented her into denying he was Sterling's father even though it was obvious that he was because they were the image of each other, and Nala but he hurt her by denying his baby and having nothing to do with him. While a motive need not be proved I think this was a situation that started out with petulance on her part and snowballed into the death of her baby. She felt unsupported by Zach, two children in diapers was overwhelming and she set up a situation to see when Zach would "notice" the baby/her. She had no vehicle and seemingly no friends. The situation got out of hand, Zach never checked on the baby and at some point she knew she was in trouble. She coped by ignoring the situation by covering it up. There's no defense, she is completely responsible for her actions.
I don't know, it seemed like when Zach would come home she would claim Sterling was sleeping and admonished Zach to not wake him. Now of course that was a complete absolute utter idiot to not see that his baby was sitting in its own filth and starving. But I think she pretty much tried to keep Sterling away from everybody

I have 4 children. My 3rd child is my only daughter and I suffered terribly with postpartum depression. It's insane how the hormones and serotonin can cause such a disconnect. I feel so much guilt that I had so much trouble bonding with my daughter. However, I fought my own brain and body every single day and made sure she had her needs met. Because despite my emotions, logic dictated my actions. I couldn't breast feed but formula is available. I didn't cuddle her as much as I did my other children but I did make sure to cuddle her everyday. I feel guilt over this everyday of my life. My daughter is 8 now. Idk how much my depression may have effected her. She's a great kid but she deserved better. With all that brings said, since post partum depression causes imbalances in serotonin and oxytocin levels, that absolute worst thing for it is methanphenamine. The depletion of serotonin and oxytocin that methanphenamine caused this woman was a perfect storm in addition to post partum depression. Especially the oxytocin as that is the chemical responsible for bonding between mother and child. She never bonded with sterling. Methanphenamine also disrupts logic and empathy. It was first used in nazi Germany to make the soldiers alert for days, maluable to command and apathetic in order to accomplish the blitzkrieg. She bonded naturally with her first child. Her daughter also was able to get in her face to demand attention. Her bf also didn't deny his paternity of her. I believe that nala was the one putting clothes and blankets over the baby. It was her natural empathy to help him but she didn't know what to do. This story hurts my heart.
lonely lucifer you should not feel guilty because no matter how you felt or what you were going through, you still got up and took care of your baby. That is love. Love is not always feeling fine and good and happy etc. Love is feeding and taking care of your baby even if you did not want to, or did not feel like it. I understand about the depression part and how it effects our brains. But in this case, I think she is just using it a an excuse.
Please don’t beat yourself up over what happened. I had postpartum depression after my first son was born and I felt guilty for not feeling an instant connection to him. It didn’t mean I didn’t love him but my hormones were in charge like yours were. My son is 20 and we are very close. You took care of your daughter and are a good mom. You need to forgive yourself and remember that you took care of your daughter.
It happens. People don't instantly bond. Especially when you don't want another baby. It took me about a month. Now he's the love of my life. We're human and we do our best.

I did also see that another prisoner said she was definitely going to get jumped in the bathrooms and it’ll actually get worse for Harris as time goes on. Still though, it’s not fair she looks as plump as ever because she’s able to bathe and eat yet she let that baby suffer for that long.
Something I notice that bothers me is she cared more about taking care of her hair & the color than she did her own baby! A lot of these cases where mom's ignoring baby or neglecting, mom's hair is just grown out enough that you see she was taking care of her vanity! Ugh!!!

I get the depression thing. Trust me, I have days where I don't wanna get out of bed. But I have two little lives that depend on me. If I don't get up, they don't have anyone else. They won't be fed, walked, loved or taken care of.. Not to sound cliche, or bragging, but after I get up, have my coffee, wake up completely im actually proud of myself for doing it. It may seem miniscule to some, but to the one's who struggle with depression, you know how much of a fight it is just to get out of bed.

I had my daughter murdered by an incompetent, stand-in so called Dr. In 88. Was not going to comment but was compelled to since there were 88 comments. After that Dr.was done w/my baby it took her 3 days to die....I later found out that he was responsible for 4 other infant deaths. He was not my Dr., my Dr. was out of town. I still long for my baby and miss her. I don't know how she could ignore Sterling's crying...how anyone could. Breaks my heart

The shrink that the defense brought up was very lazy and it slipped through she told HIM she didn't want to deal with Sterling. The one who hadn't worked in 20 years and didn't even look at the text or facebook conversations but expected to set this Monster free by his proclamations that this all happened because she was depressed. Fortunately some truth slipped through and it couldn't be denied since it came from their own witness.

The part of this whole case that haunts me more than anything else...when Zach testified the last time he saw Sterling alive, Sterling lifted his little hands to his daddy, begging to be comforted, picked up, loved...he probably didn't have the strength to cry anymore. This was his last effort to call attention to his suffering and sadness. Zach merely puts his fingers in the babies fists for a few seconds, juggles them around and maybe says a word or two to baby Sterling, and then walks out and shuts the door. I believe that sweet baby gave up right then. His poor body and spirit could endure no more. I am sobbing even playing this through in my head and it is infuriating that his parents were there and did nothing!!!! One of the worst cases I have ever heard. Cheyenne especially deserves every day, month and year that she gets in prison.

I think the swing was packed with random clothes because she was using that to prop up his bottle. She probably just stuck a bottle in his mouth once or twice a day to stop his crying but never picked him up. Eventually that poor baby got so dehydrated he couldn't even cry, so she just pretended he didn't exist until the smell got so bad, she finally went in there to find him dead. GUILTY!!

Common sense: *Guilty* Case closed, lock her up and throw away the key 🤬🤬🤬 Let her sit in her own filth and waste away like poor Sterling did. Line her cell with pictures of him so she can't look away. I'm not normally a person that seeks revenge or thinks up ways for people to suffer, but there needs to be Justice for Sterling. The way Cheyanne treated this innocent little boy was *unconscionable* and she needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

She should be made to look at his pictures without being able to look away like she could during the trial. Toss her in solitary confinement and don't let her come out until she meets her end.

Harris won’t be affected by a cell full of Sterling’s photos .. she left her baby to starve in his filthy ridden diaper in his sewage ... in a swing .. alone in a dark heated room to be eaten alive by maggots! Her soul is evil and she has a heart of stone ... looking at photos will not phase her.... at all!
This case is beyond heartbreaking. So hard to wrap my head around this one. The fact that the female Defense attorney is openly yawning without even covering her mouth is disgusting! If I was the judge I’d bar her from my courtroom!

I kinda wonder how the neighbors didn't hear Sterling constantly crying...they lived in an apartment. How could she have heard him scream and cry and ignore it? As soon as my 6 month old starts to cry, I go to him. I can't imagine how long and how loud that baby cried until he could cry no more.
I can't even imagine the horror and pain that poor little guy must've went through.

Complete strangers to that baby showed more emotional trauma throughout that trial than his own mother ever did once.
While a motive need not be proved I think this was a situation that started out with petulance on her part and snowballed into the death of her baby. She felt unsupported by Zach, two children in diapers was overwhelming and she set up a situation to see when Zach would "notice" the baby/her. She had no vehicle and seemingly no friends. The situation got out of hand, Zach never checked on the baby and at some point she knew she was in trouble. She coped by ignoring the situation by covering it up. There's no defense, she is completely responsible for her actions.
I don't know, it seemed like when Zach would come home she would claim Sterling was sleeping and admonished Zach to not wake him. Now of course that was a complete absolute utter idiot to not see that his baby was sitting in its own filth and starving. But I think she pretty much tried to keep Sterling away from everybody

Her mother looked after the kids several times during Sterling's short life (for days and nights), so she knew something was wrong. Just didn't want to admit it.
@@kiuakakirstine8257 I am guessing that she gave up on that baby since her mum brought him back after having him for a few days. She probably enjoyed the time off and started starving him. The pathologist said he had been there for 9-14 days, which is the time the grandma returned him
@@ritayammouni2803 the neighbor also watched the kids around 14 hours from the end of july or august 1. I guess her mom took care of them a few days after and once they were returned Cheyenne realized even more that she enjoyed her freedom🥺 but just the one child.

I have 4 children. My 3rd child is my only daughter and I suffered terribly with postpartum depression. It's insane how the hormones and serotonin can cause such a disconnect. I feel so much guilt that I had so much trouble bonding with my daughter. However, I fought my own brain and body every single day and made sure she had her needs met. Because despite my emotions, logic dictated my actions. I couldn't breast feed but formula is available. I didn't cuddle her as much as I did my other children but I did make sure to cuddle her everyday. I feel guilt over this everyday of my life. My daughter is 8 now. Idk how much my depression may have effected her. She's a great kid but she deserved better.
With all that brings said, since post partum depression causes imbalances in serotonin and oxytocin levels, that absolute worst thing for it is methanphenamine. The depletion of serotonin and oxytocin that methanphenamine caused this woman was a perfect storm in addition to post partum depression. Especially the oxytocin as that is the chemical responsible for bonding between mother and child. She never bonded with sterling. Methanphenamine also disrupts logic and empathy. It was first used in nazi Germany to make the soldiers alert for days, maluable to command and apathetic in order to accomplish the blitzkrieg.
She bonded naturally with her first child. Her daughter also was able to get in her face to demand attention. Her bf also didn't deny his paternity of her. I believe that nala was the one putting clothes and blankets over the baby. It was her natural empathy to help him but she didn't know what to do.
This story hurts my heart.
lonely lucifer you should not feel guilty because no matter how you felt or what you were going through, you still got up and took care of your baby. That is love. Love is not always feeling fine and good and happy etc. Love is feeding and taking care of your baby even if you did not want to, or did not feel like it. I understand about the depression part and how it effects our brains. But in this case, I think she is just using it a an excuse.
Please don’t beat yourself up over what happened. I had postpartum depression after my first son was born and I felt guilty for not feeling an instant connection to him. It didn’t mean I didn’t love him but my hormones were in charge like yours were. My son is 20 and we are very close. You took care of your daughter and are a good mom. You need to forgive yourself and remember that you took care of your daughter.
It happens. People don't instantly bond. Especially when you don't want another baby. It took me about a month. Now he's the love of my life. We're human and we do our best.

This was the first thing I thought when they mentioned the placement of the mattress. Also the quilt to block from people outside hearing.
And placing air freshener under the swing ......... I just want someone else with same sick mind to do to her everything she did to that baby. Life in prison just won't do.
@@Sachajela I know. I did read that she was getting bullied pretty bad in prison. I did also see that another prisoner said she was definitely going to get jumped in the bathrooms and it’ll actually get worse for Harris as time goes on.
Still though, it’s not fair she looks as plump as ever because she’s able to bathe and eat yet she let that baby suffer for that long.

Something I notice that bothers me is she cared more about taking care of her hair & the color than she did her own baby! A lot of these cases where mom's ignoring baby or neglecting, mom's hair is just grown out enough that you see she was taking care of her vanity! Ugh!!!
