I could feel the little spacial art from mathew barney works, but I could not feel eonght the meaning of redoubt specifically, anyway good behavior art..😆....
Of course, if just talking could work and do a better job, then the artwork wouldn't be necessary. But that is not the case. Going to a place like a gallery has its routine and to exceed those expectations you have to make the gallery a different place and that's definitely an aspect of his work, he, Barney, wants you to experience a (different) place and not the gallery. The interview shows the simplicity with which Barney describes aspects of his work, which in no way detracts from the content of the works or makes them seem ridiculously outlandish.
Someone should throw up some of what Matthew Barney is sending to the Moon on Nasa's lunar rover hard drive Mr Beast is selling space to Us on. If anyone including Matthew Barney wants to join my digital art show on the Moon let me know and send me whatever and I'll translate it to music then throw it into the 1 second of 3d 360 space I bought for us (that I think I will also break it up into a lucid dream used as a monitor instead of a computer monitor, for this experimentation of this new medium I'll be hinging the instructions and controls on sounds you'll need to condition yourself to remember or simply add to them on your own which is heavily encouraged). I'm trying to figure out a way to use the space as a tool of some sort, which can definitely be figured out even though it just sits there on a chip not being accessed I don't think, well if it is part of the Rovers controls then electricity will flow through the data so I guess we will be dealing with our advanced selves absorbing the vibrations of the medium around the rover way in the future when we read it again, so to affect the rover's tires being used as brushes you'll need to unify all the data maybe maybe that's what this is but it is not good enough. anyway we'll figure it out. so commanding the medium read in the future and quantum eraser experiment wise rewriting star light with the curves surfaces forming the starlight waves to particles through out time to the source naturally like a beacon
Matthew Barney is shrewd when it comes to selling his art so he can finance other projects. He gives away DVD's of the Cremaster Cycle for hundreds of thousands of dollars to various art collectors. It's just too fucking bad the rest of us "normal people" will never get to see his movies. Elitist jerk.
Well, I mean, Matthew Barney right? At least this film doesn’t have you watching a bunch of people covered in feces. My question is, are the Chinese now bankrolling Mr. Barney? I can’t figure out why this whole thing is being marketed in Chinese otherwise.
@@andrewryan7107 Have you seen his film Redoubt and the exhibition? If you have then I don't see the point of calling it contrived. A lot of effort and complexity was put into making it. I've never seen much art quite like it, very unique and original.
I always suspected that Matthew Barney's art, despite its visual sophistication and originality, was meaningless at the core. The fact that he was allowed to display it by the ferociously despotic regime of China seems like the final demonstration.

Lol, its all online bro
@@mood1676do you have any link for Redoubt?
It's funny that the trailers for this film have the comments switched off.
It's because it is a totally contrived piece of total crap.

Nah, just a filter against ignorant comments like Mr. Ryan's.
@@thembamabona9809 Art should enlightened, not derelicted people's perception in favor of an exercise, in this case not really art
This movie looks really dumb. Must be why the comments are turned off on the trailer.
