Rakesh Chaurasia is nephew of legendary pt. Hari prasad chaurasia, the top flutist known after lord Krishna. Zakir Hussain is a magician who has added glitters to the name of his illustrious father ustad allahrakhha.
You're not stupid, it's your parents and your school education which didn't teach you our culture, the greatest living ancient civilization the face of this planet has ever seen -- The Sindhu Saraswati Civilization, of Bharat.
Rakesh Chaurasia on bansuri (North Indian Bamboo Flute). There are different sizes of bansuri for different scales (eg C, G, A etc). Each bansuri with its 6 holes can play 12 swaras (notes) and by changing speed of wind blowing produces 3 octaves. Zakir Hissain is on Tabala. The bigger one produces baseline and smaller one produces notes. There is are two different Indian classical music, north Indian and south Indian. There are hundreds of raagas in both system with some overlap. This knowledge was passed on from thousands of years. So there are no written compositions of raagas. Learners remember these compositions by heart. there are also improvisations and new composition.
It has ATLEAST 2 full octaves(saptaks). You can go to higher(taar) saptak through the way you channel your breath into the bansuri. And lower (mandra) saptak as well.
Two of the best musicians sharing the same platform is a treat for anyone.India is so diverse still we hold our traditions,we must be proud of this diversity.
This is excellent way to express the all emotions and colours of life through a simple musical instruments like by a simple bamboo, flute or(Banshuri)and Tabla, this is also a part of the unseen and undiscovered India
This type of classical music truly represents India. I have grown up listening these type of music...it enters your soul ,your mind and gives you immense joy and peace...
Wood like instruments you said are actually one instrument called “flute” Played by Rakesh Chaurasia & other one was “Tabla” Played by Ustad Zakir Hussain.

Sometimes even orgasms doesn't give the satisfaction that our classical music gives us, which takes us into a different world and is just pure bliss and happiness. It's so pure and so serene. These two Ustaads are worthy sons of worthy fathers. Their fathers were greats and they have really stored that treasure which they got from their great dads.
Very true
True every word of it just omit our before classical music ...
Classical music is love
This is hindustani classical music, one of the biggest gifts of sanatan dharma to the mankind. Which can illuminate and soothe a mind and soul both.

Rakesh Chaurasia is nephew of legendary pt. Hari prasad chaurasia, the top flutist known after lord Krishna. Zakir Hussain is a magician who has added glitters to the name of his illustrious father ustad allahrakhha.
Actually We're Stupid .. who don't know about our culture .. and about these Legends .. Thx Bro
Know you culter because no culture is greater than your Like beads of Mala . I respect all culter but INDIAN 🇮🇳 Heritage and Culture is very unique
A Biansuri has only one octave, therefore he switched to a smaller bansuri where there is a change of scale.
I hope I chose the right words.
Actually Bansuri will have 2plus octave..from mandra pancham(pa) to thar Pancham
A bansuri has from the Mandra MADHYAM (ma) to Taar PANCHAM (PA).
Bansuri has 2 octaves for any average player. More than 2 octaves are also possible with practice..
Thank you seriously, for bringing the value of music worldwide. Love your show.
This is just a hint of what Indian culture stores....sheer peace...
7:37 to 8:20 Look at the Rick's face..he really enjoying the music..
MOST SAD AND IGNORANT OF ME,
I'm getting introduced to my culture by seeing A REACTION VIDEO😭😥🤐
Yes bro😟
It is better to be late than to be never .
So long as u r , accept it , embrace it and pass it on. Revive this culture.
...by white people.
Blame your parents and your school. :)
Wood like instruments you said are actually one instrument called “flute”
Played by Rakesh Chaurasia
& other one was “Tabla”
Played by Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Flute is made of bamboo mostly.. Has a pleasant sound..
This is the Indian classical music.. Loved by the Gods too 😍😊😊
Indian music doesn't only touch your ears but heart also 😃
Ricks comments are the best part of this video -man you have so much poetic yet imaginary mastery level words
