How's everyone feeling about the Lakers' prospects heading into this year's NBA Trade Deadline? Do you guys have any Trade Tenets/Rules of your own that you want to see employed by Pelinka? And...What are your guys' updated thoughts on Trading for Zach LaVine?
You can get away with that because of Dalton & Austin Reaves (Two Starting Role Players making less than $15 M) This makes a 3 star model work. Not to mention Kolokko and Quincy
@ I feel u. However, I think closer to the deadline perhaps maybe just one frp will do. Because the pels are also not wanting to lose him for nothing. As far as him not being a guarantee for next year, neither is Lavine lol. At least with Ingram we have some cap relief if things don’t work out, and not stuck with Lavines huge contract while he is injured.
@@lorenzoybarra4111 when I mean guarantee I mean are the lakers going to be able to retain him. You can’t just trade a couple players and maybe 2nd round picks for someone and they just walk in free agency. That would be even worse than keeping our guys. As far as Lavine as least the contract is there if you trade for him you know he’ll be in your roster next year. Injuries and amount of salary concerns me though.
The Zach Lavine trade, will not Be a good deal, for the lakers. It just doesn't work out. TO MUCH SALARY, to many Players to give up, to many Injuries. RISKY.
Lakers need to get lavine. They will never get an elite scorer for cheaper than him. Ever. And it would be a super homerun if they can include vanderbilt in that trade instead of rui. Lakers cant expect bron to carry them thru the playoffs as a scorer every game. And because he wont cost 2 fr picks, lakers would still have draft capital to get a center.

We need CAM REDDISH, without question.

It’s a great point. Lakers are much more well-equipped now to make a move like this than they were in 2022 with just Russ + Minimums
Instead of pushing for Lavine, maybe Ingram fills more of a void for the team as far as a two way wing and third star.
I’ve thought of that as well. Only thing is Ingram would probably cost picks and there’s not guarantee he’ll stay next year.

Ingram is more expensive than lavine tho. While lavine is the better offensive player
We need to trade for DORIAN finney Smith, and Cam Johnson.
