My Grandparents families lived in this areas, before they relocated to Leeds West Yorkshire. My Dad Tom and Lilian his Sister used to stay with their grandparents a few months at a time. My Great Grandparents surnames were Tom Ratcliffe and Clara Buckley.

The landlord, Mr Salt said it is a family pub despite it being an all adult male preserve.
But you can see why his customers were willing to travel back, he is such a joyful character.

I hope these men were able to make their new foster-pubs sociable and make new loyal friends. The new Corbusieresque concentration planned “community” looked sterile; I wonder if still standing or torn down like many “modern” estates that are soulless and crime-ridden? I wonder the chaps in the film are still with us as they must be in their 90s now…. “Time” indeed!

All gone now. Hanky Park is now a concrete jungle.
