Thank you for this easy tutorial! I was always afraid to try metal stamping but this was very encouraging!

You really should get a bigger hammer. 2 lb brass hammer will only take one hit to get the job done. Also, brass hammer highly recommended to avoid damaging your stamp set.

Except you can tell you're over hitting the stamp because the engraving of the side of the stamp imprint. You only want the letter---not the half circle from over hammering it. Bigger hammer prevents this.

It's not difficult. But it can be expensive. What make the hobby expensive is mostly the quality of your stamping set. You could find nice set for $20 to $40... But they are usually on the soft side and the lettering are not that sharp. They would work for soft metal but not for stainless steel. High quality stamp are marked on the shaft, nickel plated and with differential hardening. It's more expensive but would last a lot longer.
Also, buy a good hammer... A brass mallet or a ball pein hammer would give you a much better result. Mine are 24 oz and 48 oz...

Yeah it is easy but not everybody has the budget for the materials, the time to learn the materials and the procedure, the creativity, the patience to assemble stuff and Etcetera. I hope that before you taught this, you couldve watched real and experienced metal stampers on how to do it... properly. Its like you just did this for the purpose of posting a video to add your list.
