Just playing my first game. Confused about combat. Are wounds simultaneous or can you kill them before they get to fight back? About 12 turns in and already met the wagon and circus twice. Always chose friendly but still got in a fight with bandits that attacked the Travelling Circus. That's where I couldn't quite understand the combat. I won but the loot was confusing too. This is the second Drifter video I've watched and both commented that Barbarian Prince was broken but didn't say why?! I have that too but haven't played in years so can't remember much about it. Long time subscriber and yes, you are a nice guy. Wouldn't real life be funny if in every encounter you ever had, you could only be friendly or rob them?!
Hi there. No, the wounds are not simultaneous. For loot, you just roll on the loot table D1, under the suit of the opponents. For Barbarian Prince, I didn't wanna say why it was broken, because if you don't know what the problem is, you can play the game normally and enjoy it. It's like tick tack toe when you're a kid, you can have fun with it, but when you realize there's best moves that make every game a draw, it's not that fun anymore. I only share it with people who don't care about the game anymore. Yes, it would be funny if you start a new job and get robbed 5 times by your new coworkers on day one 😂
I’ll be downloading this later, but I saw a small error in the game with the Lawman event at 23:22. The events says to roll a d6, but the chart is for d8. Should I play the game Rules As Written, or grab extra polyhedral dice just in case?
Good eye. The thing is that you only get the higher results from the outcomes in the table. For example, if you roll 6, it could say "gain 1 Karma and go to result 7"
@@UriShap Easy way to get money in BP is to go in a town and gamble. Instead of walking all around the map fighting everyone and doing quest, it's easier to win if you walk to the nearest town and gamble there the whole game.

@@UriShap Its also what makes it fun and unique. I did a character sheet you can find in bgg. the green one with the wolf. I would love to someday design a game like BP or this one but much simpler and for kids.

I love Barbarian Prince, and yes it is broken and terrible. BUT it is also quite unique and stuff happened to me in that game that i never forgot.
Well, it's a pretty old game, you can't judge it by modern standards. It inspired many games.
Totally worth the $4.00 cost.
