This is a fantastic on-line site with fast delivery to Boulder next day. We are fortunate to have the store in the Colorado front range. I ordeedr a spare Vespera cable, bubble level, and solar filter, and got them the next day. The web site shows availability and it is accurate. I met the owner at the RMSS last year. He was very attentive to my future needs. Great service.
I am unclear how there could be a "launch" of the Vespera. Not even all the Kickstarter purchasers have received their scopes. Pre-orders from January 2021 (no not 2022) are reportedly being scheduled to ship soon. I purchased mine in December, 2021 for a Spring delivery. Keep in mind, I paid the full amount in 2021, but in September of 2022 no hope for receiving the scope any time soon. If Vaonis is able to ship scopes to dealers at $2500, it is at the expense of those of us who ordered long ago. I canceled my order because I had not received my scope anywhere near the date promised and the concern that an otherwise earnest seeming company is raising the price to $2500 from $1500 while not delivering past orders, suggests possible financial difficulties.
I just noticed the price hike. $1,000! Now I'm thinking about not getting one of these. I'm actually in shock and quite angry about this. WTF? I'm sad to hear you canceled your order, but don't blame you. Seems to me like this company has become quite suspect.
Pretty sure this is a scam. I backed this on kickstarter over 2 years ago. Invested over $2000 but no delivery. Got excuses at first but now they ignore me. I’d be careful dealing with this company. Soured me on kickstarter as well.
Another two months go by and no telescope and no refund. They took the innocent kickstarter invester funds. Tossed us under the bus. Used the money to build telescopes to sell in stores. Do not trust them it is certainly a scam.
I just bought one, can’t wait until I get it.
FYI, Vespera does have manual mode enabled to adjust exposure times and db levels, You just have to manually enter the coordinates to adjust them
