And Barry became he flash due to his mother dying. He then became a forensic scientist and the lightning bolt hit him and the chemicals and he become the flash. That’s also why Eobard Thawne killed her. He wouldn’t become the flash without her dying.
the flashpoint paradox shows the fact that barry could have gone back to save other important people from dying. He chooses to go back and try to save his mom from dying and single handedly causing every hero to have a worse future or fatal to many of them. Leading to ww3 and barry barely getting out of that ruined timeline in time to try to stop himself from saving his own mom. The worst part is professor zoom beating him everywhere while ww3 nukes are landing. Zoom telling barry how he was responsible for all this, how he didn't have to even do anything. How selfish barry is, and how all zoom has to do is keep the speed force for himself, so barry can't escape.
why didnt you add nora allen's death, flashpoint happened because of barry saving his mother. The whole world was messed up because of one death. superman doesnt become super man, One death can change the whole world.
+MasterRazzer76 her death is important in the dcu. When Barry Allen saved his mom, it completely shattered the foundation of the universe and created flashpoint.
The death of Nora Allen literally prevented Earth-1's essentially worst case scenario timeline and was the catalyst for Flashpoint and the entire New 52 reboot. Id argue her death is the most significant comic book death of all, in terms of actual impact on the world of comics and its storytelling, rather than just the raw emotional impact or significance to one character.
The death of the original Superboy in the Legion of Super-Heroes story "The Greatest Hero of Them All". This had to be shocking as Superboy seemed to have the ultimate "plot armor" as we all knew he'd grow up to be Superman.
If the death of Gwen Stacy was the transition of comic culture going from the silver to the bronze age, signifying a darker and more mature tone, the MCU is iron age taking it back into the silver ages.
Knowing that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, the Goblin kidnapped Gwen Stacy to use as a hostage against his longtime foe. Gwen fell into a state of shock and was apparently unaware of all the events following her capture by the Goblin. The Green Goblin brought the unconsious Gwen to the top of the George Washington Bridge, where he fought Spider-Man, who was desperately intent on rescuing the woman he loved. Finally, riding his flying "goblin glider," the Goblin knocked Gwen off the top of the bridge. Spider-Man caught her with his artificial webbing before she hit the water, only to learn that the shock of the fall itself had already killed her. (The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe book of the dead deluxe edition).
Your list should also include The Flash's mothers death, for so many obvious reasons...also maybe should have included the reason why the Punisher came to be
Isn't it the opposite? Usually they overadvertized stuff on the covers in the Silver Age. Now they use online platforms to overadvertize and then retcon a few years later, but even back then, on literally every cover they said: The greatest fight ever, or the most dangerous and sinister villain ever faced! Nobody really questioned why the editor's note said: "We will wait to reveal the title till the end." By the last page, we finally know why.
Wolverine will be back at some point, Steve Rogers remained as an old man for little more than two years, so my guess is he'll be back soon. After all Old man Logan has to return to his time line to fight the good fight and to take care of his "son" little Bruce.
While I hated Barry Allen dying I think it was essential for Wally to be able to step up and become the great Flash that he was/is/will be (hard to say with the whole time travel business). Barry sacrificed himself by going light speed which helped Wally break the light speed barrier (and survive) later on in the Flash timeline.
I would love it if you guys went over the new Captain America issue where they retcon his character and make him an undercover agent of Hydra all along. #sayitaintso
Interesting topic attached to the sponsor. How come the death of Krypton isn't listed? And for the Spawn fan that you are, I though for sure you'd mention the death of Al Simmons.
Hey Arris big fan of you and they rest of the contributes of the show as well if I knew their name I would have congrats them and you for getting to mil (been here since 200,000 subs), by so i was wondering if you can do some more old classic hero to hero and villain to villain comic battles again and list all of there strengths, weaknesses and etc; anyways peace and keep it up with the videos :) P.S. If you agree with this try to reply or like this comment.
Death of Superboy, destroyed the Legion of Superheroes. The books have never been as good as before he was killed off. And the Death Supergirl in Crisis of Infinite Earths. SG tried to break her foot off into Antimonitor's butt for trying to killed Superman before she was killed.
The death of the Punisher's family, all the deaths that came out of the infinity gauntlet series, the death of Steve Rodgers, the death of Karen Page, the death of Nora Allen, the death of Super Girl and Stanley Ipkiss
Why do people believe that Cap was always a Hydra agent? Of course he isn't they're just gonna play the good old mind trick/ false memories shtick. Sure, it's stupid that Cap would be a Hydra agent since he was a kid, but I can actually see an enjoyable story where Cap is captured and broken both physically and emotionally to believe he's a Hydra agent.
i cannot believe that the death of captain America in the civil war series was not inclused in this list! I sure was shocked when I red that panel!!!! Why didn't you include it in the video or at the very least mention it?
you know in amazing spiderman 2 when Gwen dies the clock reads 1:21 the movie check it out there's a lot a lot of comic cameos I look out for this happened to be one of them
Hal Jordan died and became Specter, Green Arrow died to save Superman's arm from being blown off, and the entire super hero genre was, arguably, sparked by the death of Krypton.
Regarding number 9, when Spiderman was telling Aunt May "I did it", I`m reminded of a story told to me by an EMT a few years ago. Don`t read this if you don`t want to tear up. Story below the "Read More" A young man living with his dad had committed Suicide, and given the grisly nature in which he had done so, the EMTs had blocked his father from entering the room and seeing his sons corpse in the state it was. After trying in vain for several minutes, the fear and sorrow on his face suddenly disappeared, and he went to the basement. Down there, he sat down in a rocking chair and began tossing a baseball from one hand to another, mumbling "It`s okay, buddy. Papa`s here. Papa`s here, buddy. It`s okay."
Arris you mentioned spiderman/the amazing spiderman a few times here, but I want to know what you think of how the movies portrayed these deaths. do you think the amazing spiderman movies do justice to those death scenes? also, anyone notice how there us more funerals in spiderman movies than any other superhero genre movies..?
predictions (no order) 1. Bucky Barnes (Avengers #4) Uncle Ben (Amazing Fantasy #15) Jason Todd (A Death in the Family) Barry Allen (Crisis on Infinite Earths #8) Gwen Stacey (The Death of Gwen Stacey) Thomas and Martha Wayne (Detective Comics issue in 1939 could not find what issue) Jean Grey (The Phoenix Saga Every Kryptonian (Superman #1) Superman ( The Death of Superman)
Death of Nora Allen deeply impacted the life of Barry Allen. So much so that there was a flashpoint for it that changed the couse of Dc comics.. So yeah that seemed to be an important death
The death of Barry Allens mother would be quite important because of the whole Flashpoint event and how that changed everything into the New52
I hope you've read DC Universe Rebirth.
Dragon Phantom of DEATH! well i read the first part so hyped for the next
Yes! This Exactly.
True true
And Barry became he flash due to his mother dying. He then became a forensic scientist and the lightning bolt hit him and the chemicals and he become the flash. That’s also why Eobard Thawne killed her. He wouldn’t become the flash without her dying.
Man, I thought Jason Todd had the longest comic book death (1988-2005) but I guess Barry Allen the Flash has him beat. Over 20 years, yikes.
the death of the green lantern movie franchise...boom!
Roasted
You just 420 no scope roasted that film
The death of the Hulk movie franchise. ....boom! lol
Me Mr. Who? not as powerful dude
Daniel Hartgrove same flop deal with it.
Wow never noticed how much Spidy had to deal with
Well now you know
Well now you know
+ASaiyanNamedMalcolm Well now you know
He was molested
+Kendrick Llama thats not canon anymore

Can you make a one shot about cap being a hydra agent
why didnt you add nora allen's death, flashpoint happened because of barry saving his mother. The whole world was messed up because of one death. superman doesnt become super man, One death can change the whole world.
+Dark Knight I definitely agree
+Dark Knight in the show at the end of the series it showed that part
In my opinion, the most important deaths in comic book history is the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
another important death is flash's mother and is a crutial part of the flash and the new 52
+MasterRazzer76 her death is important in the dcu. When Barry Allen saved his mom, it completely shattered the foundation of the universe and created flashpoint.
I must be blind because I didn't see CAPTAIN AMERICA ON THE LIST!!!!!!!!!
I think that Marvel and DC should remake some of their most iconic comics. Not like the stories, but the art. Make them modern
Barry Allen's mom's (her name slipped my mind) is really important, just read Flashpoint lol
+Bat Knight 27 norrraaaaaa
my name is jeff
+Bat Knight 27 WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!
But is it Martha?
and if she never died he wouldn’t have even become the flash in the first place, no barry, no wally, no hunter, and no eobard
Spider-Man Earth-616 death, I'm new to the whole comic stuff, but when I found out he died I literally almost cried right there, right then.
who else felt sorry for spidey? I mean he has lost more than any other superhero, his parents, his uncle/dad and his true love... Respect to Spiderman
Marvel Hunter *spooderman
Marvel Hunter Just LIKE flash, His mom, dad, and Iris...Pre-New52
So no one’s gonna mention the death of professor Xavier when cyclops killled him
The death of the original Superboy in the Legion of Super-Heroes story "The Greatest Hero of Them All".
Hello Arris, have you ever created a video on some of the best/most important comic book story arcs??
Knowing that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, the Goblin kidnapped Gwen Stacy to use as a hostage against his longtime foe. Gwen fell into a state of shock and was apparently unaware of all the events following her capture by the Goblin. The Green Goblin brought the unconsious Gwen to the top of the George Washington Bridge, where he fought Spider-Man, who was desperately intent on rescuing the woman he loved. (The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe book of the dead deluxe edition).
Your list should also include The Flash's mothers death, for so many obvious reasons...also maybe should have included the reason why the Punisher came to be
The death of everyone on Krypton. Without that we wouldn't have Superman haha
I think you should cover Superior Iron Man. I think it's a very underrated Iron Man story and it's personally one of my favorites.
Wow. It seems to me that if you die in a Spiderman book you stay dead.
Unless you're a central character
It used to be that way...
If a comic book in the Silver Age said "TURNING POINT" on the cover, you know something serious is about to go down.
The death of Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) is still very touching to me.
Some other deaths worth a mention:
Captain America at the end of Civil War
The comedian in the watchmen
Goliath in civil war
Technically not a Comic Book death but I think everyone of a certain age knows Transformers the Movie really hit everyone the hardest.
Wolverine will be back at some point, Steve Rogers remained as an old man for little more than two years, so my guess is he'll be back soon.
After all Old man Logan has to return to his time line to fight the good fight and to take care of his "son" little Bruce.

Barry sacrificed himself by going light speed which helped Wally break the light speed barrier (and survive) later on in the Flash timeline.
Hate to say it, but i got more emotional from Supergirl's death than Barry's while reading Crisis.
I would have included the death of Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) from cancer.
That was a very good story. It definitely should have made the list.
What about the death of Nora Allen?
Yeah! That Impacted Barry so badly!
For me batman’s parents is the most important death without that we wouldn’t have him 🤷🏻♂️
I agree
same with Nora Allen (Barry's mother)
if wolverine did die that would have serious implications on the old man login storyline.
I would love it if you guys went over the new Captain America issue where they retcon his character and make him an undercover agent of Hydra all along. #sayitaintso
Wow!!! I'm early! Nice vid, I love your channel.
I know its not important but one of the saddest deaths in comics is Rorschach, the way he accepts it is actually quite depressing
why do you only have a mil subscribers you are the BEST
Superman should've been higher.
in they beginning of the vid he said this is in no ordor
+Jits Sote my mistake I must've missed it.
+Jits Sote *order*
thank the dope doge for grammar check
+Jits Sote welcome
Variant comics: The funny thing is everyone loves him now!
Me: Of course he is the Deadpool of Batfam!
Dying in comics is basically calling in sick for work
Interesting topic attached to the sponsor.
How come the death of Krypton isn't listed?
And for the Spawn fan that you are, I though for sure you'd mention the death of Al Simmons.
Supermans death and resurrection pretty much started the trend of killing and resurrecting of heroes in comic books
Yep. Jean Grey, Norman Osborn, Heroes Reborn, Bucky Barnes, Jason Todd, it kept going on after that because of how well Death of Superman sold.
What about Lois Lane's death in injustice? It started a war that's lasted years.
Death of Superboy, destroyed the Legion of Superheroes. The books have never been as good as before he was killed off.
And the Death Supergirl in Crisis of Infinite Earths. SG tried to break her foot off into Antimonitor's butt for trying to killed Superman before she was killed.
I'll re-comment that the death of superman is my favorite...Nuff said
Are you gonna do a video on Cap being a hydra agent?
6:43 WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME
The death of the Punisher's family, all the deaths that came out of the infinity gauntlet series, the death of Steve Rodgers, the death of Karen Page, the death of Nora Allen, the death of Super Girl and Stanley Ipkiss
What about the death of krypton and everyone on it including supermans parents and supergirls?
Hey Arris, I was wondering If you could make a video on the new Captain America comic?
you should of mentioned that he fought the green goblin with a gun shot wound.
Variant comics, how do you feel about captain America being under hydra the entire time? The new comic made me mad
Check their Twitter.
+James Cameron true but I think I do think they'll do mind trick or mystique, but still it would be neat but not to be true that he is hydra
Hail Hydra.
+James Cameron Redskull did steal Prof. Xs mind powers
I remember reading that spiderman comic. Really good stuff, that was a pretty sad death :/
If u haven't already done this can u do a top ten new 52 character reboots please
No1 was pretty predictable but definitely deserving
this has to be a re-upload I remember watching this vid before.
check the description, it is a reupload due to sponsor issues
Didn't u guys already do an episode on this?
i cannot believe that the death of captain America in the civil war series was not inclused in this list! I sure was shocked when I red that panel!!!! Why didn't you include it in the video or at the very least mention it?
Anyone know what comic book/graphic novel the shots at 7:05 and 7:10 are? It would be greatly appreciated if you could tell me!
I mean Superman
Everyone knew he was coming back, kinda took the momentum out of it
You missed the death of Captain Marvel from cancer. This is big since they MAY make a Captain Marvel movie using Mar-Vels daughter as the new Marvel.
you know in amazing spiderman 2 when Gwen dies the clock reads 1:21 the movie check it out there's a lot a lot of comic cameos I look out for this happened to be one of them
Arris give us a one shot on Rebirth already lol
Hal Jordan died and became Specter, Green Arrow died to save Superman's arm from being blown off, and the entire super hero genre was, arguably, sparked by the death of Krypton.
Right as the one popped up I was about to type about how I was shook you didn't mention Gwen
It has been confirmed that it was the whiplash from the webbing that killed Gwen
Death of the Punishers family didn't make the list? That massive slaughter changed a good family man into the darkest anti-hero ever
Brought to me by the WHAT?! lol That caught me off guard.
you should have put in "Death of Captain America" after the first Civil War. The funeral really moved me
But they retconned that death, like many others.
Please talk about Captain America being part of Hydra!!
Regarding number 9, when Spiderman was telling Aunt May "I did it", I`m reminded of a story told to me by an EMT a few years ago. Don`t read this if you don`t want to tear up. Story below the "Read More"

Do a video on your point of view for the Hydra Cap. Reveal
Where is a good place to get my comics? My place just closed down, and I'm missing out on my favorite comics.
Did you say surge, I found some at quick trip but after a month it was not there
You should make a video explaining suspended animation
+VariantComics you should talk about how Captain America is part of Hydra!!!
Giving his life to save an old woman, killing thousands of people who he might have save had he lived, is that what spidey stands for?
The death of Krypton
can you make a list about the top 10 hand to hand combat in all comics please bro pretty please
Arris do one about captain America as a hydra agent
Arris you mentioned spiderman/the amazing spiderman a few times here, but I want to know what you think of how the movies portrayed these deaths.
do you think the amazing spiderman movies do justice to those death scenes?
also, anyone notice how there us more funerals in spiderman movies than any other superhero genre movies..?
where do you get your t-shirts from?
The death of The Flying Grayson's. It gave birth to one of the most famous mantle Robin
When is the video on DC rebirth coming?
I think Supergirl's death in Crisis on Infinite Earths should be listed if not #1 or #2
Can you make a History of Rorschach?
Is this a remake?
Reupload? I swear I've seen this before.
Yes This Was One Of His Earlier Video's...Confusion!!!
+Farnomus Studios Yeah, he typed a comment about them.
+G-Rex Fam that*
read the description.
I can Imagine the Grim reaper smiling at this list. XD
Could you do a history of Mysterio the Spider Man villain?
predictions (no order)
1. Bucky Barnes (Avengers #4)
Uncle Ben (Amazing Fantasy #15)
Jason Todd (A Death in the Family)
Barry Allen (Crisis on Infinite Earths #8)
Gwen Stacey (The Death of Gwen Stacey)
Thomas and Martha Wayne (Detective Comics issue in 1939 could not find what issue)
Jean Grey (The Phoenix Saga
Every Kryptonian (Superman #1)
Superman ( The Death of Superman)
He miss represented that deadpool does. Even his brain grows back without the security of adamantium. Wolverine just an advantage.
Captain American at the end of the Civil War storyline which causes bucky to become Captain America
can you do a history of episode on kyle rayner and paralax
"It was more morbid than you anticipated" but that was a line in your script. Do you see the disconnect?
What about caps death in civil war?
Death of Nora Allen deeply impacted the life of Barry Allen. So much so that there was a flashpoint for it that changed the couse of Dc comics.. So yeah that seemed to be an important death
Maybe you could do Alternate Versions of Iron Man!
He has top 10 iron man armour
Still, he could do Alternate Versions.
+Haney Boyz what do you mean like versions of tony stark ?
yeah
Where sould i start reading comics
