Anyone excited to shop at an Amazon Go store? Read the CNET article: Amazon Go cashierless store arrives in San Francisco - cnet.co/2PiN4a7
I wanna see how much I could steal, just to test hoe accurate the system is and see if there are any blind spots. BTW, i'm not a thief, I just wanna see if you can trick the system.
I need a drone to go shop for me at a humanless store so, I can have zero interactions with anybody and have an Ai live my life for me. Cryo-freeze me. I've become one of you. "Hoe accurate", like the comment above. Humans are the worst animals. Not that comment, just in general. So Amazon only shareholder profit motivated. Makes me ashamed to hold a large amount of AMZN stock. ;) Enjoy screwing humans. :)
Anyone know how the camera part works?
It's amazing.
Seems expensive like the whole foods stores. But only this store has also non organic products ..😞
This isn't new. I've been doing this for years and haven't got caught yet.
Sonic The Hedgehog lols coz you run so fast, try walking slow with ninetails 😂
😂
HAHAHA
Alexa will soon
Omg 😂😂😂
I still think Amazon should buy a hotel chain, fit all the rooms with all kinds of echo products and things integrated with it, and call it Amazon Stay
with cameras and sensors following every move you make
@@2shae245 Well alright there you little exhibitionist you
It will suggest music and movies when I pull down my pants.

This is ingenious
Employees: WE WANT $15/HOUR!!!!
Amazon: Well, why don't we fire you all and make your jobs totally obsolete?
This is a niche store. Also, it isn't much to ask for a living wage.
Also, I see plenty of employees guiding the customers.
$15/hr is minimum wage in SF
Automation. It’s coming for all of us.
It would be nice if it makes life easier, and we can figure out a way to make a living. Figuring that out seems to be the problem.
Always remember all this technologies are useless without consumer. If people have no jobs. No body is gonna care about this kind of technology.
The woman is like permanently excited.
She excites me
@@maxdondada same. I think we have issues.
better than a boring monotone host
She’s so excited 😆 she got wet 🤣🤣
She is so cute and hot at the same time.
I remember when $54 of groceries gets you more meals than that. With $54, you could do 10 complete meals, at $5 per meal.
You still can... Just not with shopping habits like hers 😂
As the other commenter said; yes, you still can. People who complain about getting less with their money aren't looking in the right places.
They sell 10 lb bags of chicken leg quarters for like $7 in Florida
You can in New Jersey if you buy only meat, veggies, sauces, and pasta.
Isn't San Francisco one of the most gentrified and expensive areas in the US...
Why is it so expensive. They have less staff.
Premium for gimicks
@@ValWasTakenWasTaken Idiots would pay that much.
crazyjojp How else would bezos be the richest man in the world?
That technology and up grades to it is very expensive I'm sure.
Because the lower class employees are living in the streets and the more expensive employees and bosses are the ones doing the little job that's left. Plus the gimmick, people are dumb enough to pay more just because they don't have to stand in line. Laciness is the mother of all inventions.
This. This is the beginning of the end for physical currency.
that'll take a few generations, too many alive today prefer to use cash.
yup you are right
And everything you ever bought will be free for everyone to see (they will be hacked at some time), not just the government and amazon.
I can see that getting expensive real quick
short term? yeah it expensive as hell. long term? no since they have to pay less employees
@@uttiya10 that, and just as a customer, cause you don't get too look at your cost like at the cashier checkout, until you leave the store and then see how much you spent.
How is that any different from grocery shopping? When the cashier is ringing you up, do you tell them to stop scanning items once you hit a certain number?
@@biturboi6 cause the price isn't in your face when scanning so it makes the person spend more, take a psychology class,
Even better, you have an on the go receipt that builds up as you pick up and place things back. It's similar to scan&go at some supermarkets. You can keep track of what you're buying as you're buying it.
People are talking about mass unimployment like most of the people in the world are cashiers
shoaszx bro it’s a huge segment of the workforce...Why would you say something like that without any research whatsoever?
Low skilled workers such as drivers (Bus, train, rickshaws, taxis, trucks) clerks, and cashiers make up 64% of my country's workforce. Imagine what happens when they're all unemployed.
80 million around the world actually
They can hire them all back for security, since this will be a thief's paradise. Walk in without any Amazon app or even a phone, grab what you want, and just leave. They will need a lot of employees to stop people from doing it, since people will be more desperate due to not having that job they had (cashiering). This is a ironic joke. Amazon will make a mess out of the world, Jeff Bezos will just get richer while the world gets more poor. It is impossible to spend even 1 billion while living your life while buying everything on earth. Why not be a nice guy and actually cure world, while still having 50 times more money then you will ever need? He is a cancer, that will only hurt the world and how it has worked since the beginning of man. I bet someday he will be infamous around the likes of Hitler if he doesn't change his course. He is that classic high school douchbag you remember, but who stumbled into creating a simple website that's stock and efficiency soared out of control.
Mr.Sceptic they will look for education to gain skills and find jobs
Amazon killed the brick and mortar and now they are gonna bring it back lol
@RA you're totally right! They killed retail and are now making a move for the high Street... The art of war shit right there!
Aren't they just killing it more ?
Amazon has overall about 5-10% market share for retail, the idea that they killed brick and mortar is just not true
@@jerometaylor6918 especially since Shitmart does 3x the revenue of Amazon.
Killed brick and mortar? I still go to my local supermarket, it’s just faster than ordering something and waiting like a day or so, going out can take just a few hours
What happens when its a family that is shopping?
Kaizer Tleane you scan each person in with your phone first so whatever they grab will get charged to your account. Then you scan yourself and enter the store.
im obsessed with this idea. cant wait for them to come to Los Angeles
The government needs to impose taxes on the plastic containers used by this store. Plastic is a serious problem all over the world. Its time to do something about it. Amazon doesn't respect the environment.
@@neb4587 Nice attempt at a guilt-trip. 7/10 very believable
I don't get it. How does Amazon know which items you took?
I loved my experience at the Seattle store. And it's so easy and makes in store shopping less hell. It's actually nice. As apposed to regular grocery stores. However, it's harder to pay attention to the prices because you just grab and don't really think. So be weary of that if any of y'all try it out.
I really like not waiting in-line. Thank you Amazon for this
Wait, didn't Apple store started that already. I saw shopper ran in and ran out like that.
Yeh these stores/concepts have been around for decades. I've seen hundreds of people walk into grocery stores, pick up items and walk out without going to the checkout to pay for them. On some occasions I've seen these men in blue uniforms come over to assist them to their vehicle and offer them private transportation. I think some people get really excited at this and therefore the men in blue have to put handcuffs on them.
Once I saw a customer walk out with a burrito and a pack of Doritos and I saw one of these men in blue uniform offer the young man some tobasco/pepper sauce in spray form. I think he wanted to spice up the young man's burrito but he accidentally sprayed it all over the mans face instead.
And this one time, in Beverly Hills, I saw Winona Ryder walk out of a store with $5000 worth of clothing. That gal was way ahead of her time. Such a trendsetter. She certainly set the trend for Megan Fox and Brittany Spears.
I love the fact I do not need to interact with grumpy cashiers. Hope they come to San Jose soon!
I love the idea of Amazon go and I love her accent.
@Track Day Minimalist Next time I'll do my "real" fake accent!
I hate her accent "amazon gore"
fifth estate sorry you feel that way! I promise I don't hate yours

0:14 Amazon Goereo
listen again. listen a few times .... and suddenly you will start hearing only "go".
Its really bizarre.
It's that Laurel vs Yanni thing happening again.
My talking points: If you do go back in (you forgot an item), are you then charged for those same items you bought the first time? Does the guy at the door with the orange shirt body slam you if your phone was off (you attempt to leave without paying). Let's say you don't have a smart phone or it's broken. Are there regular places to check out? There are no Amazon Go locations near me, but they say 3,000 stores are coming, so there should be some soon.
Once you scan your phone you can turn it off. The technology does not use your phone after you have entered. It charges you when you take something off the shelf, so in theory you can bring stuff into the store and it won't double charge you.
Summary: The watermelon was equivalent to $80 for a whole watermelon.
The watermelon she picked up was $3 for 9 ounces. The average watermelon is 20 pounds, but you don't eat the outside, so lets say it is 15 pounds x 16 ounces per pound divided by 9 ounces is the number of packages x$3 , which is equal to $80 equivalent for a whole watermelon. But, you got to skip the checkout line so you are good.
So the moral of this story is ..... don't buy the watermelons.... stick to the cantaloupes.
So it's all pre packaged and frozen food? Nothing fresh?
This is really magical! ✨
So what happens when you have insufficient funds?🤔 I guess you get tackled at the door 🤔
I’m all for this. Heck even the process that Sam’s Club has is decent.
So amazing I’ve been there in Seattle. Great experience.
Amazon Garerr?

@@LexySavvides Much respect, Lexy Savvides, and keep doin’ your thing! Many thanks for all of your hard work on this segment as well as others. That being said, it is true -- as you know -- that some Americans (at the very least) are fascinated by that Australian “o”. There is a whole lot going on with o’s in Australia, it seems! It’s like each “o” = 15 syllables and a whole bunch of different sounds! I love it, I have no problem with it, and we all have our own unique accents, of course. Just wanted to (1) thank you for your work; and (2) say that, yes, a lot of Americans really are taken with that very complex Australian “o”!
when does this come to germany???????????????? why do i have to wait in lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hoffentlich garnicht
People that are making fun of the min wage being $15 just know that most companies aren't going to stop here they're coming for your jobs too.
How do you stop thieves? Can the scanners somehow detect if you have not purchased an item?
She was like doing her Christmas shopping... Love her accent, probably from Aussie or NZ.
You need to bring one of these stores to Los Angeles. ASAP!
There’s one in La Cienega by LAX
This is literally the Fry meme Shut up and take my money
Oh no, Amazon is tracking what you are doing. Shouldn't there be a news story about how amazon is collecting data, so that everyone can feel important and get upset about it.
Orbital How is tracking what you are eating going to destroy your privacy? It’s important for them, but it’s not really sensitive information. Plus it’s super convenient. I have a problem with Social Media....
@boson96 You said it perfectly
Loyalty cardio is obsolete
Amazon gwar?
It's funny, I heard gwa/gwo at first also. But I've had a few listens since and now I hear "go". Really bizarre!
Maybe its like that Laurel vs Yanni thang again.
If u just walk in and get and beat it out the door what is the need for the red shirts then?
Also what happens if you take something out another person trolly and put it in yours will it know or will the other person get charged for it
I'm just curious how securities are sure that people do not take more products in their bag than what they actually had paid for??
0:15 amazon gor?
lmao...Australian accents...I heard that too.
@ItsAllUnity
It's ALmazon GORE. :P
0:32 Why would she show her QR Code?? Anyone can steal it and use it to buy things?
it is different with each visit.
What happened if i downloaded the app, get inside the store then delete the app and walk out with the foods?
This store better have competitive prices. You can't just rely on Novelty alone.
This type of store will require you to have a Bank account with money + an Amazon account + Smartphone, while a traditional store just requires you to have pocket cash.
Personally, i think they are going to need to take a more Walmart-style approach, and allow the purchase of large amounts of groceries at discount prices, in order to justify the extra process and exclusivity.
Yeah , self checkout. What an innovation.
What happens if you turn your phone off after the gate opens
Our generation will whine and moan about wanting to increase wages to sustain today's workers while actively supporting a business that is trying to cancel out workers altogether. POETRY
sidewalkid Agreed, now if they were complaining about the purchasing power of the dollars they earn...that would have a point.
@@shanewillbur1325 if the only thing you can do is a job that usless maybe you shouldnt have one
With the advance of technology, there are going to be jobs that will just seize to exist. There were many jobs in the 20th century that don't exist anymore, like: milkmen, pinsetters, lamp lighters, switchboard operators, elevator operators, film projectionists, etc.
If large companies like Target or Walmart decide to follow the model that Amazon has built, there are plenty of other minimum wage jobs available for those searching. However, I don't actually think the occupation of being a cashier will die out anytime soon.
Automation is PROGRESS and a good thing. As long as that automation benefits all of us and not just the Jeff Bezos's in the world.
If a customer accidentally dropped a yogurt on the floor or a customer put back an item not in the same shelf will it still be removed from the app cart? And what if an item wasn't placed in the correct shelf and a customer grabbed it will it know to put the correct price/item in your app cart?
That's a good system coz there are so many "Walgreen Go" in SF downtown.
What if you pick something put it in wrong place and snatch the item underneath it?
What happens if you put the product in the wrong place?
People Counter (Head Count Algorithm) plus Electronic Article Surveillance
I cannot see this system working . I have worked in retail for many years . There are many people who are just not into technology . Even the people who do have the app what happens if they pick something up in the wrong place and walk out . They then will see the price after and complain . Does the app allow you to price check the items you are holding ? If not it’s going to cause many customers to complain . There’s always plenty of people that will claim they found an item under a cheaper price tag when that’s not true .
I agree with you but I am sure they will have robots who will stack the shelves in exactly the right way
There's tags right on the labels of everything, and they don't look the cheapest. Sticking to walmart 😂
Do they take food stamps?
So, only groceries??
she was charged a bottle deposit fee but didn't buy no bottles
whats that about?
Yeh, I saw that. Just had another look at the video and there's definitely nothing that could be considered a "bottle".
Something isnt right there.
This is next level.
What if you dont scan your phone, grab some stuff and walk out?
I don't have a Smartphone so can i go there and shop too and than leave????
ill just take it off the shelf, drink or eat it and put back on the shelf. freeeeeeee for me
Would you do this in a normal supermarket??!
Put what back on the shelf? It also checks weights

amazon go is as secure as china, all you have to do is have a credit card, a amazon account, the amazon go app, and a phone.

you're right. Sick of it
But this is the future. The mark of the beast system - no one can buy or sell without the mark - all stores will require you to be signed up and scanable otherwise you cannot enter and cannot buy anything.
We're suddenly living in the future.
How does it keep track though?
