My mother told me that when she and her siblings were kids, they used to swim a mile from island to island (she grew up in Trinidad). When I visited in 2015, my aunt showed me where they used to live and where they swam.... the water is so deep, it looks BLACK. People who are brave enough to just be swimming in the open ocean are just built DIFFERENT.
Lived on beaches for months and swam hours every day in places like south Florida which is infested with sharks, Cartegena Colombia, Cancun, Mexico, Thailand..... it's really not intimidating once you get used to it. It's a lot more intimidating to me to jump in a far and go driving on a busy fast moving interstate. It's all about perspective. Most stuff in life has some danger or risk attached to it though. Anyone you doesn't go swimming in the ocean some or at least just out onto a beach is missing out big time though imo.
Its nothing and thank you! Growing up near the ocean you gotta be a lil crazy for ocean swimming! Ive been in rip tides, under tow, big dark waves, Ive swam with dolphins, the ocean has been good to me!
This is at Teahupoo in French Polynesia. Known as “End of the Road” which wasn’t widely surfed until the nineties. The bottom drops to more than 1,000 feet deep just 1/3 mile offshore, and more than one mile deep just three miles offshore. As a result, swells don't feel the ocean floor until they are about 1/2 mile from shore, allowing the open-ocean energy to march virtually unimpeded into the reef at Teahupoo.
Back in primary school we did a sailing course and was paired with my motal enemy, who also apparently was useless in boat. We almost capsized so many times and she thought I was a psycho for laughing hysterically, instead of screaming like her! It was about 90% nervous laughter, but the other 10% was because it was funny seeing someone I really hated screaming in panic, while I was trying to keep us upright 🤣 I used to get nervous laughter after horse tried to throw/kill me, but once I learned how to sit almost anything, I started to enjoy riding the nutcases so much that laughter became genuine! Technically was the same adrenaline causing the laugh, but instead of the "oh thank fuck I'm still alive" with legs/hands wobbling feeling, it became "yeehaw bitches" and mentally punching air type attitude!

Nope the camera 📷 don't die has to live to show the truth

What a truly beautiful sight 💖
I CANNOT get over this no matter how many times I’ve seen it!
You look so beautiful 😍
I wouldn't go in because of sharks. There are people that say it's rare until they're the ones being eaten
Lived on beaches for months
and swam hours every day in places like south Florida which is infested with sharks, Cartegena Colombia, Cancun, Mexico, Thailand..... it's really not intimidating once you get used to it. It's a lot more intimidating to me to jump in a far and go driving on a busy fast moving interstate. It's all about perspective. Most stuff in life has some danger or risk attached to it though. Anyone you doesn't go swimming in the ocean some or at least just out onto a beach is missing out big time though imo.
jump in a car i mean
Hm, I thought jaws. But Taehupoo seems plausible n
Thank you for this explanation, I was super curious and was thinking, "But what is the science behind this?!"
*Is the French Polynesian in America?*

Wdym feel the ocean floor?
The ocean absolutely scared me!
That was beautiful. 😊
That laugh at the end is just the “I’m can’t believe I didn’t just die” laugh. It’s involuntary.
Back in primary school we did a sailing course and was paired with my motal enemy, who also apparently was useless in boat.
We almost capsized so many times and she thought I was a psycho for laughing hysterically, instead of screaming like her! It was about 90% nervous laughter, but the other 10% was because it was funny seeing someone I really hated screaming in panic, while I was trying to keep us upright 🤣
I used to get nervous laughter after horse tried to throw/kill me, but once I learned how to sit almost anything, I started to enjoy riding the nutcases so much that laughter became genuine! Technically was the same adrenaline causing the laugh, but instead of the "oh thank fuck I'm still alive" with legs/hands wobbling feeling, it became "yeehaw bitches" and mentally punching air type attitude!
@@EmzyT0 Be nicer to her and tell her to be your girlfriend. She probably likes you and that’s a good thing.
@@666LatinoCad what if that girl is not her type 🤔
Same laugh I made after swimming to shore. A shark had been cruising a little too close for comfort in about 2m water.
nah that laugh more like "i can't believe i caught this on video"

Насколько великолепна природа 😍❤😘. Как жаль, что люди не ценят нашу планету 🌏 и эту замечательную природу 🌊. Без зазрения совесть загрязняют океаны, всю планету и космос.
How something so beautiful and amazing as the ocean can turn horrific and terrifying within seconds. The ocean commands our respect.
Indeed
We are scared cause the ocean has many great mysteries. I would not be scared if those kraken, movie about sharks, and megalodon
😅😊
Looks like it tastes like blue cool aid
Talk about respect… how about God who made it. It’s like a water droplet to Him.
"This is not a wave but the entire ocean folding over" ight so... a wave?
