  • Revisited a Debussy piece that I last played about 7-8 years ago. It’s unbelievable I still have it in my fingers after all these years. Talk about muscle memory!
The Two Arabesques (Deux arabesques), L. 66, is a pair of arabesques composed for piano by Claude Debussy (1862 - 1918) when he was still in his twenties, between the years 1888 and 1891. Although quite an early work, the arabesques contain hints of Debussy's developing musical style.
This is the first piece of the pair in E major. It is way more popular than the second piece.
