Bro how can you dislike the didact, he's one of the most interesting and also still quite a mysterious character. By far one of the best written characters halo has ever had, and my favorite villain bar none. I just wish he had more screen time and halo 4 wasn't so short.
@@Ripa-Moramee “☝️🤓 Erm, 343 lore is bad and Frank O’Connor’s personal fanfic, and humans always have been Forerunners,” mfs when I tell them Joe Staten worked to make sure the terminals made it in the game while Contact Harvest was edited by the *team* that wrote and worked on the Terminals, who also had the Halo Story Bible to work off of. Mfw Lord Hood also calls the UNSC the United Earth Space Corps at the start of H2 as well.

Hearing Keith Szarabajka voice an entire book is an absolute godsend and a blessing for any FNV fans, or of course, halo fans.
This man's voice is legendary.
Didact should of been in H5, we shouldn't have to read the novels to see what happens to certain characters. Want to know where The Arbiter is? Have to read the books, want to know about Didact after H4? Have to read the books.
Agreed, they should've somehow do what Halo Escalation did, he was the perfect villain for a new trilogy!!
They should use the Warhammer method where the books contribute to the setting, but don't influence the individual stories

@@RIPDixie1865 Not true at all. The Fall of Reach was the prequel to the first game and First Strike ties Halo and Halo 2 together.
@@BurningSpear213 That and characters that might not warrant a game such as the arbiter what else you gonna do ignore the character. Besides very few Novels would make for great games. Halo just isn't an everyday game it's an expensive overarching universe not having book involvement is like saying nothing outside of the star wars movies should matter.
I’ll definitely be buying this one. Having read The Rubicon Protocol, I can safely say that Kelly Gay is a great writer, and I trust that she wrote a good story for the Didact. And I REALLY hope this can solve the mystery of the Forerunner glyphs on some of the Halo 3 multiplayer maps, seeing how the book is literally called Epitaph.

Didact was sorely underused. He could’ve been the villain of the whole trilogy, or at least as far as Halo 5. I’ll never understand why they chose to write him off after 4.
Yes. Would’ve only made sense to get his story in Escalation in Halo 5. Let the banished be the center of infinite but it seemed/ seems like he might return if campaign ever becomes a thing again. I remember somewhere there was some hidden voice lines in Infinite and one of them sounded like the Didact.

Can't wait for this this one, but I still find it such a shame that one of the series best villains was wrapped up in comics and novels.
Of only 343 hadn't been cowards and stuck with him as a villain. Halo's character-writing has never been better imo, but the plot is janky as hell.
The Didact could've carried the entire post-Bungie arc if they could commit to a story for more than a single game.

@@TheBasedSpartan i know how scary they are in the books but the games outside of Reach for me no. Never felt humanity were screwed imo.
Personally, I found the Covenant way scarier than the Banished, the Banished are thriving because it can eat up all the small war lords that are scattered about. with the Covenant active, they couldn't really do that, hit a small weapon cache here and there, sure? but they couldn't dream of taking on the Covenant in a traditional fight

Every piece of Halo content is not meant and honestly should not be in the games. There is simply too many stories going on within the universe for all pf them to be in every single game. Im glad we get a new book every year or so with the stories of other characters.
Which is why we hoped for a tv series a decade ago. But they had to take and ruin it...

This guy is better than the villains of the last 2 games, yet they sidelined him. Just like they sidelined evil Cortana after sidelining the forerunners. Just like they're gonna not mention the Endless again, who were propped to sideline the Banished. There's no semblance of a real story anymore because they just reset with every game. 343 have 0 confidence in committing to anything

Loved this villain and always disappointed they didn’t use him for a whole trilogy. The Cortana idea went absolutely nowhere and where the hell did the Banished come from? Oh yeah, supplemental material. The end of H4 should have been the end of H6.

Bro update the campaign add new weapons and abilities , mobs ,vehicles don’t forget the modes and update the game physics and graphics add real ray tracing and add a swim mechanic in the game make the game smoother and FASTER FEELING put some cut content into the game ( unfocus your attention from cosmetics)

I'm honestly sick of the didact at this point, he killed off black team just so 343 can "ShOw HoW StrOnG hE iS" by having him kill off a fan favorite spartan team, which causes chief to Fly into a rage and kill him with his bare hands (or was it a knife? Can't remember.)
PLUS not to mention that this "Didact" 343 keeps pushing is not even the actual didact, just some little servant shithead who decided to adopt his personality.

One of THE most underrated voices in all of Halo, a shame we didn’t get to see more of the Didact in the games he had one of the most badass and intimidating designs; The idea of fighting basically the equivalent of the Covenants God is such an awesome premise
He was originally going to return in Halo 5 as a cyborg but they cut that out completely.

We may yet get more voiced appearances from him, given the outcome of the book and from things like the IsoDidact voice lines in Infinite (as an easter egg, granted)
I JUST made the connection that the Didacts voice actor also voiced Dr. Kyne from Dead Space (2008)

What I love about the Didact in Halo 4 is this Forerunner madman is a dark reflection of what the Master Chief could’ve been - A soulless machine that fight wars and forsaking his humanity.
Not really, but the idea of them both being war machines is accurate, after all that's what makes the forerunners referring to that rate as "warrior *servants*".

The Didact should have been the villain of Halo5. NOT CORTANA!!
You fools could have easily opened the game where Halo4 left off. Show Didact survived and found a way to obtain the Guardians. Give the Chief a reason to fight and introduce "The Weapon" as a means to stop him.
THEN Infinite could be the outcome of a badly damaged human and post Covenant resistance. And among the chaos, Atriox becomes a bigger threat and introduced to the FPS series.
But nooooo. 343 continues to prove they can't write video games. Halo4's story was great. It's gameplay sucked because of how terribly balanced it was, and all of the empty space. But the story was chef-kiss mint with a terrible boss fight.
