This made me smile.. I went to Tikal with my dad, stepmom and best friend Nov 10.. it was far beyond my wildest dreams.. I toured tikal at 5am with a tour guide Temple IV to watch the sunrise.. it was spectacular.. the walk up was crazy u can't even see ur hands infront of u its so dark in the jungle and all u hear is howling and rustling in the branches ontop of you.. I don't know how the ancient mayans did it with just the light of the moon.. ahhh I WANT TO GO AGAIN!
I'm guatemalan and now thanks to you..i will visit this ruins propably in november!! ( I hope so) i hope you like guatemala because most of the guatemalan people is so kind...especially when you are a tourist...
i've been romancing central america for a while- i saw your series-got psyched and just came back from my budget trip to Guatemala...i actually tried couchsurfing and saw around the country with a native and was awesome! keep the adventures coming!
Wow It feels so nice when somebody outside the country comes to this place and thinks is awesome, I am so proud of being from Guatemala, even though there is a lot of violence in the capital city there are still places where the view is great, and historical monuments make you feel that some kind of big civilization lived there thousands of years ago. You have to visit Antigua Guatemala, ipala volcano and crater lake, hobbitenango, laguna del tigre Panajachel and so many more amazing places here in guatemala jajaja, by the way congratulation your adventures are great, what its your next project? we want more jajajaja regards from Guatemala
Uxmal and Palenque are a great site to visit if you are interested in Mayan ruins. I would have to say Chichen Itza is the worst. I really need to get my ass on over to Tikal, it looks beautiful.
