If he was power hungry like Guy then he’d also be the strongest in the world along side him. So again, without their ultimate skills there’s probably no one that could best him. Guy tied him and he’s the strongest before being summoned.

I like this anime because it is not so gore if it was, this dude must be dead just a few second from his small brain to compare the different power between him and diablo, the wise act is making an offer to be spared many life as possible like in "Overlord" If someone know about krieg empire from warhammer 40k you would know what happend when someone rebel against the emperor, they just keep bombard the city for 10 years straight during around 6 years they surrender but krieg doesn't care and keep shooting until there is no sign of any life and still keep shooting until the city become ash and dirt so... They still keep shooting until it reach 10 years then they take their army back and tell others if this happend again they will do the same to everyone

The japanese term "mao" can be translated as demon lord/king, while the daemon lord thing is more like a demon noble/peer. In the manga they use the term demon peer instead of daemon lord.
