Winter?! I got back from the shops in a right old sweat... Had a good sesh today; 4 or so hours forgetting about theory and just trying to bring everything together in a mindless exploration of the subconscious. Then I find this dreamy, wandering technique from you and I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow and see where my imaginings take me as I’m seated at my cheap, dusty old keyboard. Thank you! ❤
Hey Rob, I can see in you a man who is happy with what he does and all that inspires me to live the same way as I do now and for the rest of my life.... I appreciate your videos and I enjoy them a lot ...don't stop making them and laughing a lot at them
@@nelsonjorge5798 Nelson, thank you so much for this beautiful comment - it means so much to me. Yes, I believe that I am in the best place in life right now creating these videos and helping people all over the world to make music. It makes me happy! I have enjoyed several of your videos. Being a guitar player your videos are helping me to understand just how my guitar skills, especially travis picking, can be easily translated to piano. Thank you!
Excellent video Rob, thank you. I’m still a struggling beginner trying to get off the ground. Your progressive introduction of additional elements is subtle and powerful, and particularly challenging for me. I can keep a simple melody going while maintaining the left hand, but when changing left hand e to f , the right hand often falls apart. I’ll keep practicing, hopefully it’ll come - often times when I come back to something the next day it just clicks… Thanks for this video really appreciate it 😊

This is a very interesting lesson/video. It looks to be fairly straight forward, but as you began embellishing the melody I was very taken in by how far you could develop with this technique. It is like there are endless possibilities. You have a great method of breaking things down and then slowly building them up. Well done.

@@robbeetube Hi Rob, is keeping at it and trying to push through the way to go, as I have been practicing with the left hand 2 notes and then after a while, attempt to bring in the right hand with those 3 notes as you have shown, but it ends up putting off my left hand playing, and hence going out of time. Will just keeping at it enable independent playing to happen with each hand?
