I love these super-long versions of TV themes. This was back in the days when there were relatively few commercials and they could afford the extra air-time.
The opening especially with Balki so excited to come to America and his eyes lighting up seeing the Statue of Liberty as the barge pulled into N.Y. harbor. "America or Burst".
The 80s WAS about Feel Good shows and Hope and gettin out there and living life and that's the big difference between now and then. People long for Hope and less of these dark TV shows that are everywhere. I was blessed to be on a couple of my favorite shows in the 80s..
Gotta love Perfect Strangers, not only was it a great show but it had one of the best theme songs in tv history. Everytime I watch an episode of it, I always sing along to it.
This is such a powerful theme song for a sitcom,
Amazing how one song can take you back to your childhood instantly!

TGIF on ABC Friday Nights brings back so many memories. So blessed to have been an 80's and 90's kid.
In the beginning when Larry leaves home, it looks like he's leaving a whole other sitcom.

Today shows are just ridiculous
This show was almost like the male version of the "Mary Tyler Moore" show. Two people starting over and living their dreams.
You won't find positivity like this on TV today. The 80s, for all its flaws, was like a Renaissance for America.
Its a Sunday Night and I'm watching old tv show intros. My life has come to this.
The series premiered thirty years ago tonight (March 25, 1986).
I miss shows like this
I love Perfect Strangers, i watched this show every Friday nights on ABC's TGIF back when I was a kid.

Sooooo cheesy,yet feels genuine, I guess that's the 80s.
Lovin that feel good 80s vibe 👌🏼👌🏼😏 Can't beat it
Sometimes the world looks perfect
Ive never seen a single episode of this show and this is still one of my favorite theme songs ever.
