That Super Bowl was something else, man!! People talk about how he “couldn’t get it done against the GOAT, Brady, in the Super Bowl” and that he “choked”, but I honest to god don’t know how anyone could walk away from watching that game thinking that ANY amount of that loss fell on his shoulders. I understand that he’s the quarterback with the biggest contract in sports history and I get that as a team effort he takes the blame because he’s THE GUY in KC. I totally understand that that’s how sports media reports on teams and the fact that there’s virtually nothing I can do to change that and I can as well fully appreciate the fact that he, without any hesitation, took on all that blame 100% professionally, and he took it to heart too. His leadership role, qualities, and value are not at all lost upon me, in fact they’re the part of his overall sports persona that makes me admire him more than any other athlete on the planet. However, I’m gonna be a biased Chiefs fan here because I want to stay loyal to the athlete I admire so much, in using my voice to at least she’d some light on what I fully believe is the truth: Patrick Mahomes played literally exactly as perfect as he possibly could have in Super Bowl 55, it’s just that literally every other player that touched the field that day was working against him. No one else on the Chiefs offense was especially locked-in to start the game, and Tampa’s defense kept our offense from getting any Rhythm (and thereby locking-in) going whatsoever, and Mahomes just ended up the odd-man out!! This man is one of the most genuinely humble and poised athletes in all of sports and you can still CLEARLY see his anger breaking through on the replay of his face after Darrel dropped the TD (which was 1 of like 5 throughout that game) But, all that being said, that loss motivated him to become a more consistently balanced, field-managing player and has since produced, in my opinion, the greatest individual season a QB has ever had!!

He even had more Passing Yrds than Brady that game.. The 11 Penalties is what beat the Chiefs.. I'd say over half of them were very questionable. The Bucs only had 3 Penalties..
@@AnxiouslyGaming the penalties hurt but the lack of starting talent on the Chiefs O-line was obvious. Five sacks total for the Bucs D, and numerous QB pressures. Mahomes rarely had time to set his feet. The Bucs red zone defense that game was incredible.
@@paulwartenberg8479 Yeah we had a banged up O-Line.. Mahomes scrambled for 498yrds compared to Brady scrambling for 39yrds.
What a legend, the way he felt his foot come out from underneath him, set his next step, picked a target, launched a dime pass perfect spiral, and hit the ground without getting hurt… all for the receiver to drop the ball
did you miss the fact that it went right through devin whites hands? It was an amazing throw considering the circumstances but it should’ve been intercepted if anything lol
Is anybody else watching this over and over again in slo mo? I can't believe how talented this guy is. Most amazing throw I've ever seen!
I feel so bad for mahomes

Mahomes definitely has the heart and commitment
That is actually the best ‘throw’ ever! Period.
Forever thankful to have this man as my qb. We will be back

That was the greatest throw I’ve ever seen hands down
This and the previous play made me realize I think he will be the best QB in history if he continues to play like this. Never seen such amazing athleticism!
Either way, these have to be the most Superhuman Passes in Superbowl history bruh. Mahomes keep climbing 👑👑👑
Pat hit tyreek in the face in the endzone too.
That's the nicest pass I've ever ever ever seen 😱
Like but fr one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen in football.
I live mahomes for ever
One of the greatest throws of all time
Probably the most incredible throw I’ve ever seen.
I’m the ultimate Brady fan, but you have to give crew where credit is due. This throw was unbelievable. Between four great defenders and dropped. Mahomes team let him down that day. Mahomes is unbelievable and I hope this loss does not curve him becoming even greater.
However, I’m gonna be a biased Chiefs fan here because I want to stay loyal to the athlete I admire so much, in using my voice to at least she’d some light on what I fully believe is the truth:
Patrick Mahomes played literally exactly as perfect as he possibly could have in Super Bowl 55, it’s just that literally every other player that touched the field that day was working against him. No one else on the Chiefs offense was especially locked-in to start the game, and Tampa’s defense kept our offense from getting any Rhythm (and thereby locking-in) going whatsoever, and Mahomes just ended up the odd-man out!! This man is one of the most genuinely humble and poised athletes in all of sports and you can still CLEARLY see his anger breaking through on the replay of his face after Darrel dropped the TD (which was 1 of like 5 throughout that game)
But, all that being said, that loss motivated him to become a more consistently balanced, field-managing player and has since produced, in my opinion, the greatest individual season a QB has ever had!!
You can do extraordinary things when you are running for your life 😂😂😂😂 .
I was the last person alive to doubt Mahomes-- until THAT throw. Wow, pure beast!
0:17 says it all.
Craziest dropped pass ever
How? It went through the hands of a Buc and the receiver is to blame? He probably thought it was an interception.
@@CubanSauce It hit him right in the face mask on a fourth down. Mahomes threw the ball when he was parallel to the ground lmao right on the spot
@@CubanSauce I was saying the fact that Mahomes got that ball perfectly to the receiver mid dive was crazy, but yeah him dropping it was also roughh.
@@masonbabcock4785 Yeah thats amazing. You know what else is even more amazing? Not having to do all that shit and winning a game. People are out here praising him for running around like a chicken with its head cut off and passing while diving. That was cool, but you don't get any points for looking cool.
@@CubanSauce there not praising him their just saying that he doesnt have much to work with especially with that o line. he’s basically forced to run he doesnt get anytime in the pocket and cant receivers cant even catch a dam ball. THERE PRAISING GUM BECAUSE HES THE ONLY ONE WHOS REALLY TRYING.
This play told the whole story of how the game went for Kansas city. Patrick playing his heart out and the chiefs saying f that🤷♂️
The play was so great, this throw is now in madden 2 years later . lol got to love it! GOAT!
lost 31-9
Mahomes, Bukter, and Edwards-Helaire were the only ones who seemed like they were trying.
I dont understand why people are such in awe of this. These are pro athletes. You should expect nothing less. This whole league is a hype machine
This is the greatest throw of all time...period.
I know they lost but that image of him horizontal right before he let's go of the ball should be his brand logo for everything he does from here on out. Like Jordan's. Simply amazing.
Now Mahomes knows how it feels like to be like Deshaun Watson with no O-Line for a day.
a bears offense too
Or Russel Wilson
I've watched every Texans game this season. Nothing was bad as Sunday lol. The O line got eaten alive.. Should have seen it coming I guess. Having 2nd and 3rd stringers against that front 4 of Tampa was a mismatch of epic proportions
But machines actually tried unlike watson
One of the, if not THE, greatest passes I’ve ever seem. I remember Mike Evan’s and others saying “he’s unbelievable” on the sidelines a lot during the game.
The best throw of all time
Even as an Australian knowing a fraction of the game, but loving it...this poor guy Mahomes seemed to have zero, nil, nada, zip, protection all game.
It's a system, even if Mahomes is talented and etc.. if the o-line keeps getting blasted, all the QB talent in the world means nothing. Have to give credit for the buccaneers defense, they destroyed the chiefs
@@RRRRRRRRR33 o line sucks yeah the good ones were hurt and the ones in just suck.
@@zoom9826 literally every week there is major injuries in this sport, lol so, they have to plan for it, at least something
The o-line was missing four starters, including a pro-bowl left tackle and an all-pro right tackle. Stopping Tampa's pass rush with a patchwork offensive line is a tall order, especially when it's the Super Bowl.
@@dabadc Thanks Boneman, that is a great answer, is such a brilliant and complicated game. Is Tom Brady as good as it appears, he seems a phenomenon.
The diving throw😂😂😂😂
For anyone wondering there were two dropped TD passes that hit receivers right in the face with no interference to the ball or their hands
They literally make him jump and throw it in the game when irl he just gets tripped 😂😂
Brady wouldn't dream of making this throw.
Didnt need to, hahahaha! Mahomes did not complete it.
gotta play smarter not harder
Bruh, the chiefs got wrecked. You want to discuss who’s making the “harder” throws? Who took the W... in the playoffs... again?
Mahomes has thrown the most interceptable passes in the league. He doesn’t care. Brady is pinpoint in his decision making.
Same thing i posted in another video, why does your qb have to do these kind of acrobacies??!!! Did you ever see Marino do this? No! Montana? No! Manning? No!!!! Brady doesn't need to do it, either. That's why you have an offensive line
Felt so bad for mahomes this entire super bowl, dude played amazing. The stats dont show it, but anyone who actually watched the game knows his team let him down.
That is why he is worth half a billion, but most of his teammates aren't. Sure, Hill and Travis, but the rest?
Not worth half a billion. Watch old Fran Tarkenton videos.
@@michaelschaefer1904 - I met Fran Tarkington. He has/had a business of his own in California. Bar None insurance.
Mahomes is worth half a billion in today's economy. Fran scrambled against demonstrably slower players (look at 40 times) and never made a throw like that, parallel to the ground off of pure arm strength.
Michell is deserved too for making great blocks sucks he wasn’t here tinight
Probably the greatest throw I've ever seen.
It was a beautiful throw, perfect spiral and it was actuate!! He should have caught that!!
As a Panthers fan, when I heard they had Mike Remners I was like “good luck with that.”
its crazy to think how he played with an injured toe and he's still running trying his best and how Britt Reid got into a car crash and hit 2 young children imagine all of that sadness and sorrow for the Cheifs. Also he couldn't get any blocks from the O line and every pass was a shitty drop. But mad respect for brady what a legend.
Sports medicine is a wonderful thing. Could guarantee you he could barely feel his toe, hince why he was able to run around all game long and throw bombs. I think it's crazier how the Bucs held KC zero TDs the entire game. Brady goes on to drop 41. They put on a clinic against the best team. More credit to them than making excuses about KC and Mahomes
@@AlCasa52 I totally agree and Mahomes post game interview he didn't blame it on his toe or his teamates they took the loss like champs. But I'm excited for next year I cant wait to see the outcome for that. And your right I also think its crazy they held them to 0 touchdowns but its crazy how tom brady is now 43 I think and he's still on top of everyone he's the "G.O.A.T".
Madden crazy for adding this
This game was literally Mahomes vs Buccaneers.
Even in a blown out loss, Mahomes was insane.
Man these receivers forgot their hands and mahomes is trying his hardest
“RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE!!”😂😂
That happened twice to the chiefs in that game. mahomes actually played great but receivers weren't on the same page.
100% true --- Tyreek also dropped a TD pass that bounced off his facemask --- DO NOT blame Mahomes!
That is honestly the single greatest throw I have ever seen
Patrick Mahomes just had the greatest incomplete pass I've ever seen!
Mahomes literally worked his ass off this SB, definitely deserved the MVP for the Super Bowl Even if he didn’t win😂 honestly this guy was doing anything and everything for the Chiefs that night.
Great speed man I just watched this
That would’ve been the greatest throw under pressure ever….diving sidearm I mean you gotta be kidding me 🔥
Who else is here after the madden 24 trailer 💀
Dude threw it like Will Ferrell during the snowball fight in Elf LOL
That's deadly accurate aim to hit your guy in the facemask while falling from 30 yards away
That pass is also even more impressive when you realize that the receiver was being covered by three defenders as well
Super stoked for Brady and the Bucs and was rooting hard for them, but major respect to Mahomes -- he made a few bad reads in the game, but he gave it his all and went down swinging.
Best throw in nfl history and it’s an incompletion
that to me is the greatest football throw i have ever seen
Anyone here after the Madden 24 trailer?😭
The fact it's 4th down makes it better
Mahomes played his cards right The receivers just couldn’t execute
Hill had 3 dudes guarding him
@@bezzywill9109 true but I wasn’t referring to hill there were a lot of good passes thrown that were dropped
This sums up the game, mahomes putting everything on the line and the team just being on the roster

It's too late for you lil kid, go to bed
Come to Dallas. Pat
one bad game, is already an MVP and SB winner and MVP, half a billion dollar contract, yes he's requesting a trade
Was going for Tampa but wouldn't have minded seeing that one go for 6. Crazy throw!
His tackles were out + he played with a broken toe + his receivers dropped passes + his defense made costly mistakes
U rly gotta feel bad for Mahomes
no one feels bad for him. His defense had multiple penalties, they never tried running the ball to gather some rhythm, 4 quarters went by and they didn't score a single TD. This is obviously one of the great performances by a superbowl team. Bucs battered them and outplayed them all game long. Brady at 43 ran that game how it was supposed to be run. Credit goes to Bucs defense and Brady, not feeling bad for mahomes and complaining about some key plays, like this ridiculous pass not being a TD
@@AlCasa52 that's why you should feel bad for him his team fucking sucks like you're the only one who doesn't
