  • Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe teaches from his commentary, “The Rice Seedling Sutra: Buddha’s Teachings on Dependent Arising.”
    Please note a correction on p. 128, second paragraph. The book reads, "Furthermore, it is not logical to assert, as do the Buddhist essentialists, a self that is separate from the appropriated aggregates. Any self presumed to exist from its own side among the aggregates would in fact be merely a synonym for the aggregates.” It should instead read: "Furthermore, if you were to think as do the Buddhist essentialists that, as it is not suitable for there to be a self separate from the aggregates, then the self must exist from its own side among the aggregates, [we Madhyamikas would say] if that were the case, such a self would only be a synonym for the aggregates."
