I have the 24U version on this rack and I love it. Only thing is there are 6 fans and they are loud but still quieter than an my Synology NAS 1619+ and 45Drives server.
APC products feel like they're developed in a complete vacuum from customers and this video shows how absolutely complacent their employees have become. Why aren't there standard HVAC air filters on the intake? Why isn't there intake or exhaust ducting mounts to connect the unit to a CRAC or exhaust vent? Why are we still stuck in 1989 using noisy 80-120mm exhaust fans instead of high efficiency blowers? Why wood veneer? Why aren't there better seals containing hot/cold air? There is such limited competition in this space that folks like Richard at APC can sit on their hands all day and still collect a paycheck for just fogging a monitor. Looking forward to somebody aptly eating your lunch someday APC. It's a shame.

u must be kiddin - throwing a tiny speaker into a cabin full of servers to "demo" it is soundproof? this can only be a joke... music - no matter which style - is not comparable to the frequence range and decibels server fans produce. spin up all the nice servers you put in there, and let us listen if the screaming sound of lots of 1u and 2u fans will disappear, when u close the cabin doors. or is the cabin rly so bad?

This demo should have been done with the equipment running. Using a single speaker is highly inadequate.
