    I like the orange dots. We can see them better too. The black targets are like black holes. The bullets just disappear into them. I would hide that rifle, and tell your brother you lost it. LOL. I've seen you shoot several very nice .22 rifles. Which one is your absolute favorite for sitting on the bench, shooting groups?

      Something about that wood and steel together so different but yet so beautiful, then you still have a fully bedded rifle at that point also.

    Have you tried the new Norma match 22 ammo?
    Picked up a brick and in my 10/22 was shooting very nice. A string of 5 - 5rd targets had an average of .2145". The plus side is it was $8 per box. Priced decent and performed well. Eley Team has always been the best shooting for me, but I think I found another!
    That is a gorgeous rifle. As you mentioned, the wood and metal makes for a beautiful mix! Thanks for sharing!

      With my eyes Jeff for some reason it seems like no matter what scope I use backing down the power seems clearer. Also even though shooting from a rest if power is to high for me I notice and can see all sort of movement even heartbeat movement.

    Have you had the opportunity to try any RWS subsonic HP? Shot a little this evening out of the 52D and Bergara and both guns printed tiny groups at 50 yards.

    Forgot to mention : it seems like Eley Tenex routinely disappoints . I do not see many online vids where it shoots anywhere near what the price would suggest . Second, thanks for showing the WOOX. Last, I’ll bet the mags have something to do with the groups . My Kidd 10/22 only likes 3 out of my 8 mags . Those 3 mags are very consistent. The other 5 not so much . Tony Kidd told me to buy two mags for every one I need . He says about 50% of the mags cause problems in his rifles . I have validated it over much experimentation. That’s a beauty of a rifle !

    Man that's a pretty gun! For a long time I fought managing recoil no matter the caliber. What I finally found is that my NPOA was off (at times), my breathing was inconsistent (at times) and my position behind the rifle (this is the big one) was off. If I'm not 'behind' the gun, taking recoil into my whole torso, I'm not doing my job and the reticle moves off the target. My little Ranger .22 just about drove me nuts at first because that thing is so light weight (meaning it's not at all forgiving of shooter error), even slight variance in the mechanics shows up on target. She'll shoot .2's and .3's 5x groups @50 consistently when I do my job.
    That last group was awesome! Thanks!

    • @Dayattherange
      @Dayattherange  Рік тому +1

      It is the exactly that for me NOT being behind the gun. So many people see shooting from the bench as so easy but there is a technique and I am still trying to master it. This concrete bench is the most stable but absolutely hard to get BEHIND the rifle. We have some wood benches that is better shaped but man they are so shaky my 99 year old grandad had steadier hands.
