Thats actually false
This didn't age well really. Excision for sure, since 2019, his production has went downhill, really big fall. From Resistance with Downlink, to most of his Subsidia tracks (except for Erase You with Wooli & Haliene and Demise with PhaseOne), and nearly the entire album Onyx (except for Osiris, Plague Doctor and End Of The World). It has been a rollercoaster for Excision, he has just not been his old self, losing his taste in proper robotic go crazy go stupid shit like Codename X, and moving to basically no taste music like Briddim, it is absolutely depressing as an X fan myself, and i don't know what to say, things change so fast, good or bad.
I was really excited to hear what this will sound like.. they both actually blend damn good together!

The Stingray That Killed Steve Irwin I'm not talking about the song in itself, I'm saying people like excision are taking the main stages and from the anticipation of artists like him it may end up taking onto main stream stages and charts at some point as skrillex did, this type of dubstep isn't my favourite but I still waited for the song to come out and I can't wait to hear it in concert too... it starts with the tamer stuff going mainstream and then some harder drops here and there and then electronically music can then become a norm, which I CANNOT wait for XD

One of the best Excision/Illenium (for each artist) tracks ever, definitely fitting the ancient vibes of recent dubstep/bass shows I've seen. For some reason I wasn't a huge fan at first of this track, I'm more on the Illenium "Awake" type melodic side although I'm a huge headbanger too. Didn't think the styles meshed well, but goddamn. That's some of the best bass I've ever heard, I was expecting more melody but it's perfect the way it is as a bass track, reminiscent of older Excision and newer Skrillex, with that mitis (lol) touch that Illenium has added. Perfectly blends Illenium's darker vibes with Excision's ridiculous bone-crushing bass. One of those tracks that grows on you, until it's your favorite ever. Can't wait to see both X and Illenium again, I'm gonna be dropping this in EVERY set I play in the meantime.
